B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2028

Must be admitted here for good placements.
Placements: 88% of students got placed last year. The highest package was 18 LPA. The lowest package was 6 LPA. The average package was 9.5 LPA. This data is from last year. Most companies like Reliance visit our campus and many others. Almost every student got an internship.
Infrastructure: Our department has non-AC classes. We have too good AC library which has too many books. We have to hardly buy any book from outside by ourselves. Labs are good but not so clean sometimes. We have okay mess food. The canteen is very cheap and nice. Don't try tea at the canteen. We have a sports center on the campus where volleyball, basketball, cricket, and football ground are here.
Faculty: All faculty members are very supportive and helpful. All are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant to real-world applications but there should be some changes in it. Practical should be more than theory. There are two types of exams per semester. Mid-semester and end semester. The exam level is moderate to easy.

I have a good experience at SVNIT.
Placements: About 70% to 75% of students are placed, and many others secure good AIRs in the GATE exam and pursue Masters. The highest package is 19.60 LPA, and the average package is about 10 LPA, which is increasing every year. Top recruiters include Bharat Petroleum, Reliance, and others. Most students get internships at BPCL, Reliance, L&T, and similar companies. Different positions are offered during placements.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is available in the hostels and library, but on campus, it’s just okay. I am a day scholar, so I am sharing reviews based on feedback from my friends in the hostel. The hostels have good rooms and cleaning. The mess food is okay, but the canteen food is good. A night canteen is available at the hostel late at night for snacks. The medical store and stationery are available on campus, meeting the basic needs. Sports and games are played at every level in the institute, including cricket, football, handball, and more. Our team participates in the Inter-NIT competition every year and wins many prizes. The sports culture is good.
Faculty: All faculty members of the department are Ph.D. scholars and have published many research papers. Many of them are among the best scientists in the world. The curriculum is highly relevant, providing enough content to make students industry-ready. They also teach all software related to their respective fields. There are two class tests, a mid-sem exam and an end-sem exam for every subject. Also, there are tutorials are held every week. The exams are slightly difficult, and the passing marks are 40 out of 125 or 100 (according to the subject).
Other: I choose Chemical Engineering because it’s a decent branch, and it’s a branch allowing you to learn other skills such as coding, video editing, and more. There is at least one event every month at SVNIT. SVNIT organizes Gujarat's largest techno-managerial fest called MINDBEND. Clubs for every talent, such as dancing, singing, drama, and more, are available here. There is a 2/3rd remission for students with an income of less than 5 Lakhs and full remission for students with an income of less than 1 Lakhs (remission applies only to tuition fees). There is a club named DRISHTI that creates interesting projects.

The campus life is great, and the environment is good.
Placements: 88% of students get placed every year. The top recruiting companies are Reliance, UTS, Birla, and many more, as per my knowledge. The highest package is 18 LPA, the average package is 9 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. This data is from last year. All students get internships at least.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi LAN only in the hostels and not throughout the whole campus. The hostel has two persons in a room, and the mess is in the hostel, but the food is not so good. We also have a medical dispensary in the college. The library at SVNIT is excellent, and we love it. The sports center and sports ground are also available here at SVNIT.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. The course curriculum is very good, but there should be some changes. Practical sessions should be more than theory, which helps in real-world applications. There are two exams in one semester. The pass percentage is around 90%.

Great campus life of SVNIT.
Placements: Average of 88% of students got placed every year. In chemical engineering, the highest package is 19 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. The average package in chemical branch is 9.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Reliance and others. Mostly 100 % of students got internships from my course, and internships in the 8th semester are mandatory. There are two types of companies which visit. Core and non-core. Core for chemical and non-core take students who want to go into computer companies, which means tech companies.
Infrastructure: Library of college is good and the availability of books is enough for everyone. Wi-Fi is available in hostel but not on the whole campus. Classrooms are good but not so clean. Hostel facility is good but the food in mess is not good enough. Canteen food is too affordable. There is a medical dispensary available on campus. There is a sports center and other grounds for cricket volleyball, basketball, football, and khokho available. Gym is also available on campus. Sports day is also conducted.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Every faculty member has a doctorate. Every faculty member has pursued Ph.D. or pursuing it. Course curriculum is relevant but there should be changes in it too. Practical should be more than theory classes. It makes students industry-ready. There are two exams per semester mid-semester and end-semester. Mid-semester is of 30 marks and end-semester is of 100 marks which converts into 50 marks in results. The difficulty of exams is moderate.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in chemical branch. The best thing about my course is that chemical engineering is one of the chillest branches in our college. Campus life is too good. Greenery is the heart of our campus. Events like Sparsh and Mindbend are the biggest fest in Gujarat. Freshers' party Kashish is also good. Other Events like Shamiyana, Ganesh Chaturthi, Thanganat for Navratri, Janmashtami, Lohri, Ramnavmi, and sports day are very good. The connectivity of college with the airport, railway station, and bus station is very good.

Good-level NIT, but not as good as it used to be before.
Placements: Placements are good enough. In B.Tech, the highest placement was 52 LPA. The computer Science average is 15 LPA and college is 12 LPA. Many companies come to recruit students for campus placements. Companies like Myntra, Deloitte, Reliance, Larsen, and Toubro come here.
Infrastructure: There are a total of 10 hostels on campus. Hostel facilities are pretty good. First-year boys' hostel Gajjar Bhavan has 2 accommodations in a room. The girls' hostel, called Mother Teresa Bhavan, seems equivalent to a 5-star hotel in front of the boys' hostel. Ph.D. students have Raman Bhavan, which has rooms like a flat system.
Faculty: The 4-year B.Tech course comprises 8 semesters, with the last being just industrial training. Each semester has a mid-sem and end-sem exam. Also, assignments, quizzes, vivas, tests, and practicals are taken. Faculty have excellent knowledge, but generally, they are not able to properly deliver it. Also, do not mess with professors.
Other: There are many fests like Spare, Mind Blend, etc. The first-year students' party is known as Kashish. Many festivals are celebrated on campus.

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology College Review.
Placements: Normally, students start preparing for placements rigorously in the 3rd year, and companies start coming in the starting of the 4th year. The placement drive happens for 9-10 months in different phases. Talking about the 2023-2024 placements, there was a decrease in the number of companies visiting here and also a decrease in the median package due to the recession going on. But in previous years, more than 150 companies visited the campus, and the number of students getting placed was quite good too. In the chemical department, 102/115 students were placed. Overall, the highest package was 52 LPA, and the average package was 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good except Civil, AI, M.Sc. These departments are in a pathetic condition. Other department classrooms have good infrastructure with projectors and smart boards too. The library is quite big, and it has a large collection of books and e-books too. In the 1st year, Gajjar Bhavan is allotted to boys, which is not in good condition, and Wi-Fi doesn't work well. The food is not that good, but it is eatable. There's a single dispensary in the whole campus that provides medical facilities. Sports are not that good. There are not many equipments available for playing any sport.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-qualified from known top colleges. Teaching quality is great for most of the teachers, except some. The course curriculum is outdated for most of the branches, so it doesn't make a student industry-ready just by studying the course. The semester exams are easy to clear. There are two exams held to clear a semester: the mid-semester and the end-semester exam. The mid-semester exam is of 30 marks, and the end-semester is of 100 marks for each subject, and there are also internal marks that constitute quizzes, assignments, etc.

I am satisfied with my college journey and branch which I have chosen.
Placements: Considering the placement record of the last two to three years, approximately 80 to 90% of students are placed. The highest package offered in the core field is 18-19 LPA (by PSUs), and in non-core fields, it is 20 to 22 LPA. The lowest package is 5.5 LPA (by Aarti Industries). Reliance, BPCL, UPL, Adani Group, PCBL, Aditya Birla Group, Sun Petro, Air Products, ExxonMobil, Mesto, Meesho, and Amazon (non-technical job) are some major recruitment companies. Approximately 20 to 25% of students get internships in companies like BPCL and Reliance, etc., in their third year.
Infrastructure: Faculty members of my department are quite supportive. Our department is newly constructed, so the infrastructure is also good. Facilities in the hostel depend on which hostel you are in; LAN is available, but sometimes it doesn't work. The mess food is eatable. The mess is pure vegetarian (only once a week is egg served, but that counter is different from the vegetarian counter), and Jain food is also available for those who want it. For any medical emergency, there is a dispensary (where there is free medical service). The library is fully air-conditioned and open for 14 to 15 hours daily, where you can study or get books related to your curriculum. There are also some books apart from curricular ones. You will get 10-12 daily newspapers in different languages. Near the library, there is a canteen where you can get different food items at a reasonable price. You can also eat food here (on every second Saturday, the mess is off, so many students come here to eat). Construction work for a new food court is ongoing beside the canteen. Talking about sports facilities, the sports culture is not very strong in the college (except for cricket). But if you want to play, you can. There is a basketball ground, a large ground for cricket and football, badminton courts, and a volleyball ground. Even in the hostels, there are badminton courts and volleyball grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified, but it is not necessary that every professor will take as much interest as teachers in schools and coaching. Some professors will come and just show you PPTs, while some are really good and will grow your interest in that particular subject. Semester exams are not very tough; if you study 1 or 2 days before, you will get pass marks. Normally, 90 to 95% of students pass the semester exams. Talking about the relevance of the course curriculum, most of the core subjects will make you industry-ready. Along with that, there are some optional subjects you can choose according to your interest.
Other: The college is in the main city (because many IITs and NITs are established far away from the main city), so connectivity is quite good. There are many chemical industries in Gujarat and even in Surat, so there are high chances of placement in the chemical branch. "Sparsh" is our cultural fest and "MINDBEND" is the technical fest of Gujarat. There are many technical and non-technical clubs where you can explore, such as the Hindi Cell, Nirvana (where you go to teach poor children nearby the college), CHRD (for acting, singing, dancing, painting, etc.), and Drishti (technical clubs), among others.

Best College for Engineering.
Placements: More then 75% of my batch mater got placed the highest package was 18 Lacs per annum and average package was 4 Lacs per annum, top recruiting company are Godrej, UPL, vendanta, coromandal etc. From my batch around 50-60% students got internship in ONGC, IOCL, GUJARAT CHEMICAL and many more companies.
Infrastructure: All facilities provide by the college authority like hostel room, water for bathing and drinking water, Wi-Fi, hygienic and healthy food and timely breakfast as well as tea and coffee in exam time. And for every weekend there is special treat also and in summer season utter milk is also provided.
Faculty: All teachers aee very highly educated, having technical and practical experience of their subject, deep understanding of each and every aspect of their subject and a very unique way of their makes it different from others. They discuss every topic till last.
Other: There are many cultural and festival arrnaged and some debates some quizzes some treasure hunt type event and sports event like cricket and football.
