A blend of quality education and great sports facilities.
Placements: Placements are decent but they vary from course to course. There is a placement cell in my college that helps students to find opportunities. Someone told me the average salary is about 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA. Also, many students opt to go for higher education instead to get much better opportunities in the future.
Infrastructure: My college has a good infrastructure for academics as well as sports. Classrooms are spacious and Wi-Fi is available on campus. The library has a good stock of books for each course or subject. I am a science student and we have well-equipped labs for performing practicals. However, there is no facility for hostels so students stay in PGs or flats in nearby regions. For sports, our college has a huge playground which is very well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers at my college are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them are helpful and explain concepts well. Some teachers are especially good at making difficult topics easy to understand. Overall, the teaching quality is good. We follow Delhi University syllabus and it covers important topics. But I feel it is more academic-focused and not industry-oriented. So students like me need to do internships or extra courses to gain practical skills for jobs. I think this will be the same for each and every college coming under DU. Semester exams are average in difficulty. Passing is not too hard.
Other: I chose this course because I was good at chemistry and I wanted to explore its different branches in depth. It also offers good career opportunities in the research industry and teaching. Teachers are extremely good. But I wish the syllabus was much more industry oriented which would help me get a job in the future.

Our college provides average placements.
Placements: Around 2-3 students got placed in our course. The average salary offered was Rs 40,000 per month. There was no high percentile of students who got placed in this college. We have to do a master's degree for getting jobs in a premium industry.
Infrastructure: Laboratory was very good. Wi-Fi was not enabled. We cannot study peacefully in the library. Hostels were not available. Many PGs were available on our campus.
Faculty: Faculty members were knowledgeable. The course curriculum was relevant to make students ready for the industry. I am very grateful, and I have cracked JAM exam with AIR-159.

Our college provides the best and a pleasant atmosphere.
Placements: Students are having a good percentage. Some students are placed in private pharmaceutical companies or laboratories. The basic salary package offered is 2 LPA - 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered goes to 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The top role offered in B.Sc. (Honours) Chemistry is to provide deep education about chemistry and chemicals properties.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. The campus is neat and clean. There is much greenery available in the college. There are 2 nursery plants. In classrooms, there are good benches available. The college also has good libraries, a laboratory, and a reading room all the student needs.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and have good teaching abilities. They give you as much effort as they can. All the faculty members are very good at behavior. Even other staff members like laboratory in-charge, library staff, computer lab in-charge will also help you. Guards are very strict. ID card is mandatory to enter college.
Other: Shyam Lal college is providing very good behavior all the way. Overall it is a very good college.

It is an average college, but college life is best if you have friends.
Placements: Our batch was the first batch of this college in this course. We all will pass out in 2022. Placements are not available for this course at the undergraduate level. To get placements, you have to pursue masters. Recruiters are basically chemical companies, CRO, etc. Internships are available in our college.
Infrastructure: The library is good here, and the stock of books change every month. Labs are also good, and staff members are also supportive while performing experiments. But Wi-Fi is not available here, and it is especially available only in computer labs. The food offered in the mess is of average quality.
Faculty: Teachers are good and well qualified here. They also teach very well. This course is at the undergraduate level and does not make you industry-ready. For that, you have to pursue a master in the same subject. Semester exams are of medial level or sometimes hard. Since the college is affiliated with Delhi University, the curriculum is good.
Other: The crowd is good here, especially in the morning batch. The campus is average, and extracurricular activities are good. Many students from here compete at national level sports, especially in hockey matches, because the college has a dedicated hockey ground.

An improving college with less fees.
Placements: The placement cell of the college is quite active and is dedicated towards bringing the best companies. As the placement here not depends upon the college here it depends upon the student more and the skills you have. Year by year the conditions are getting better. Internships were also provided by 10 companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average if there would have been a hostel then it could have been called good. The Wi-Fi is available in whole campus but the speed is mostly slow. The classrooms have projectors and are totally interactive. The canteen food is a big no. The library does not have enough books but has AC. The ground is massive as compared to other colleges if are a sports enthusiast then this college has the best teams on DU.
Faculty: The teachers are the best part of this college most of them are Ph.D. and are helpful. Teachers more focus on understanding rather than rotten learning. The curriculum is a bit non practical but faculty members try their best to make it understandable. All the guidelines of the UGC are followed by the staff.
