Life at college in Delhi University.

Placements: 50 percent of students got placed last year. The average package for my course was 2.5 lacs per annum. The highest package was 8 lacs per annum in B.Com (Hons). The lowest package was 1.5 lacs per annum in B.A. ECO Hons. The company that came for placement was TCS.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure in college are quite good. My electronics department has the best labs for experiments and good equipment. The equipment is updated. The college has good Wi-Fi and classrooms. We have a good library with a numerous book collection.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, educated, and knowledgeable. The teachers are quite helpful and supportive regarding studies. The curriculum of the course is very relevant. The curriculum helps to make students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite easy for the freshers, but it gets difficult as the semester changes.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn more about the electronic items.

Review of Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi.

Placements: I don't know how many students from my course are placed because there is no authorized person to inform us about placements for my course. Companies do come, but I think students are not interested in that. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. I am not sure which top companies are coming for recruitment, but I think around 10% of students from my course got placed during the 2020-2023 session. I believe companies come to recruit computer science students, but for my course, I don't think any companies have come for recruitment.

Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure in our course/department. Our classroom has fans, good quality furniture and desks, and is well-cleaned. In our practical room, there is excellent equipment for conducting practicals, along with the best teachers for practical sessions. In the computer lab, fast 4G Wi-Fi is available for students and lab is equipped with computers and desktops, all in operable condition with keyboards.

Faculty: Our couse teachers are very helpful and well-qualified for teaching us. Their interaction with students is good, and they are knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. Course curriculum is very relevant to our studies and is designed to boost the level of students' learning. Curriculum prepares students for the industry and development. Exams are generally moderate to tough and pass percentage is approximately 90%. Some students failed and had to reappear the exams.

Other: I chose this course to boost my knowledge, and I love studying electronics and physics. I aim to excel in my scores. In our college, there are many events held throughout the year, such as the research party and visual event held at the end of October. There is also the second-semester event, an official college party organised by the student union for students in the month of April.

Placements: In this college, placement is very average or below average, as this college mainly focuses on commerce related courses. The average placement here is around 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA. Mainly, 30 to 40 percent student takes placement and mostly start preparing for other government services exams after completion of degree.

Infrastructure: The facility in college is not extraordinary, but it only has basic necessities like water coolers and canteens. The infrastructure of the college is also good; it has many sports and a professional hockey field inside the campus. Labs have old equipment, and the canteen is very average.

Faculty: The faculty at the college is good, and most teachers are young, so they connect with students easily, which helps students learn better. Teachers are highly qualified, and some of them are also renowned personalities. The semester exams are of average difficulty and totally related to the syllabus provided.

The college is very good, and you will love it.

Placements: Around 70 percent of students got placement, and the package is also very good, around INR 4 lacs a year. Wipro and TCS are the top two recruitment companies for placement. Around 60 to 70 percent of students do an internship. The role of students is very important.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are very good at Shyam Lal College, Delhi University, and the courses offered to the students are very good. The campus is fully connected with Wi-Fi, and the computer labs are fully air-conditioned. Most importantly, a library is also available for study.

A good college with great facilities and sports.

Placements: If you are okay with your studies and if you work for a good placement, you are going to get a placement. At this college, around 75 to 80% of the students got placements through the placement cell, but 3 LPA was the lowest package offered and 8 LPA was the highest package offered. The recruitment was mostly from tech companies like HCL, Intel, Concentrix, etc.

Infrastructure: There are various labs like a physics lab, an electronics lab, 3 libraries, a canteen, a music room, an NCC, and many other sports facilities like great coaches for volleyball and hockey. It has a fully natural, green environment and surroundings.

Faculty: All the teachers are knowledgeable, helpful, and well qualified in their field. The quality of teaching is great, and all the practical knowledge provided makes students industry-ready. During COVID, it was tough to get back on track, but once done, it was never tough again.

Our college is great for East Delhi students.

Placements: Around 30% of students got placed in very good companies. The average salary package was around 3.2 LPA. Most of the job profiles are in Delhi for which students need not worry to travel. The highest salary package offered was 6.3 LPA. Our college staff help students get internships in their respective program.

Infrastructure: Our course infrastructure is planned by the University of Delhi. Our college does not provide a hostel facility. So it would be a great improvisation if provided.

Faculty: Faculty is very good but some teachers are persistent in marks. Exams are conducted semester-wise. Unit or class tests are conducted by respective departments for every 15 to 20 days.

Other: Many curriculum activities are organised by college societies and NCC. They are very joyful and enjoyable.

Review of Shyam Lal College.

Placements: There are no companies that come for placements. Most students have to work hard to get a job in any company. Students who participate in electronics groups are less.

Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi shortage in our college. Labs infrastructure is not good. Library is fine. Canteen is not good, fans are not working properly, has no proper ventilation, and food is costly. Canteen should have a proper ventilation system with fans. Playground is good. Some places are newly made that are good but benches are not good.

Faculty: Teaching quality is average. Some teachers are good and some are average. They are helpful which is very important, some teachers are lazy as they just try to finish the course.

Other: Government should start an initiative to get companies for placements. Teachers should learn a way to interact with students and to make study very funny and attractive because no one likes boring classes.

Our college is good and I'm satisfied with faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: Our course is pretty interesting. Placements are provided with the salary package of 2 to 2.4 LPA. Students can get good numbers of internships in semester breaks with stipend which would be enough to fulfill their goals.

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is pretty good. Labs are well maintained and library is fully filled with required books. There is a separate Wi-Fi connection for students and teachers which requires student ID and teacher ID besides password to login. Facilities are good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable with good teaching skills and friendly nature. They explain in an understandable manner. Exams were online due to corona but now exams are being conducted offline. Difficulty level of both the modes was pretty similar.
