First step of your successful future.
Placements: SVCE is a top reputed college in Chennai. Placements are very good and if you have the talent you may be placed in your dream company with the help of coordinators. More than 150 companies approximately will come for recruitment every year in the IT field. Core companies are approached.
Infrastructure: Awesome infrastructure, lab facilities and classroom setup were very good. Wi-Fi campus, you won't feel like school. The library consists of an enormous amount of books and journals. The hostel was well maintained and the food was a little bit okay you can order your food inside the college if you needed.
Faculty: The faculty members were very good, you can get cleared of your doubts whenever needed. Exams are useful to gain knowledge in SVCE.
Other: The curriculum and syllabus were great and students are eager to learn new things. Not an easy task to get into college. If you got chance make use of it.

A brief experience of our college in a year.
Placements: Till date, the previous batch which is 2021 has 96% placements. If you are really interested in the IT sector, you will have amazing placements. The IT degree guys hold a salary package of 11 LPA and the core company offers about 5 LPA. Our college has huge alumni support.
Infrastructure: In our college, we have one central library and other department libraries. All classrooms are equipped with projectors and the students have full access to Wi-Fi. The library is equipped with enough copies of books and the college allows the students to refer to e-journals.
Faculty: The college is an autonomous college where it follows CBCS. The syllabus is based on the industrial requirements only. It's moderate where you have to apply the knowledge you have. The pass percentage of our college is above average and the college allows students to take part in extracurricular activities.
Other: After the pandemic, the first batch is our batch. We are much excited to go to college and our experience was good on campus. I chose chemical engineering which is a rare course.

It is a very good college with amazing faculty and facilities.
Placements: The college has a good placement record. Most of the top IT companies are a part of campus drives. There are also many core companies that are interested in recruitment. Prominent companies for recruitment are Infosys, CTS, TCS, Wipro and Accenture. The average package offered for the last 5 years has been 4.5 LPA. Various roles are offered by the companies. Those roles largely depend on the student's capabilities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is one of the best in the city. Although this is an old college, the administration has done a good job of steadily modernizing the infrastructure. The laboratory facilities are also good. However, the quality of food in the canteens is average. It should be improved.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified. They are very helpful and are a constant support for students. The framed curriculum is relevant, but there can be changes made. Semester exams are relatively easy compared to other colleges. The pass percentage is usually high, around 80%.

Overall, it has good campus life and placements.
Placements: More than 80% of the students get placements in our college. Most IT companies recruit students from the college. Core companies MNCs like Dow, BASF, etc., approach students for interviews.
Infrastructure: The hostal facility is very good, clean, and has friendly staff members. Hostel also has a good atmosphere for learners. We have housekeeping, laundry, food lodge, and coffee day. Canteen food is good for hostel students as it tastes homemade with a traditional way of cooking. The entire campus Wi-Fi enabled.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are well experienced in teaching. They are also very helpful to get good grades and always ready to clear doubts of students at any time.

It is an excellent campus with good facilities.
Placements: Students who opted for placements got placed in various companies such as TCS, Infosys, and Freshworks. Apart from IT companies, students got placed in Ecolab- a company relevant to our stream. Almost 50% of students in our course underwent in-plant -training and internships in Toshiba, CPCL, Technip, FL Smidth, Aavin Dairy, and Kaleeswari Refinery. A few of us also got a research internship at IIT-M as SVCE has collaborated with the IIT-Alumni group.
Infrastructure: As per the curriculum, the department of chemical engineering has labs for subjects - fluid mechanics, mass transfer, heat transfer, chemical reaction engineering, process control, and mechanical operations. Classrooms are well ventilated with smart boards with an av facility and chalkboards. Wi-Fi is also available for students for academic purposes.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. They interact with students in a friendly manner. They help in building a student's network for an internship, in-plant training, and even job opportunities. They also inform students about various events that help in building a student's resume and knowledge.

Our college gives a great experience of the outside world.
Placements: Students who opted for placements got an offer letter. The majority of the core companies did not give massive offers. IT companies hired whoever performed moderately in the group discussion stage.
Infrastructure: There is a state-of-the-art library. The laboratory experience was average because they never focused on the frequently used software in the industry. The travelling experience was good, but you can also be stuck in traffic jams which turns an hour journey into two or more hours. The canteen is better.
Faculty: I studied the R-16 regulation, which was copy-paste type of situation during assignments and exams, and it did nothing to make students prepare for industry. Still, the college gained autonomous status, so the entire regulation was being changed.

It is the best college for engineering in Tamil Nadu.
Placements: About 95% of students from our course got placed in different companies. IBM, SPIC, Ecolab and Amazon are some of the top companies that visited our college. Some students from our course went abroad for their higher education. More than 130 companies visited our college for placements.
Infrastructure: One of the best things about SVCE is its lab facilities, and the college culture encourages students to enhance their talents. SVCE has the best library where we can able to access paid journals and research papers for free of cost. The canteen and mess are needed to be improved in our college. Other than that, it is the best place.
Faculty: Professors in SVCE are well knowledgeable and helpful. Most of them completed their PhD, and their way of teaching helps students to grasp knowledge from them very easily. The new course curriculum has additional marks for internships and in-plant training, so students can get theoretical as well as industrial knowledge at the same time.

Review of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Kanchipuram.
Placements: Our college provides a better platform and interactions with various department faculty members. Above 90% of the students got placed from our college. The major plus point of our college is it invites core companies and conduct various mock placements with the real industries HRs to have an idea about placement activities.
Infrastructure: Though our college has a good infrastructure, the food facilities on the campus can still be improved like it should increase space in the canteen and provide a variety of food on the menu. However, things which are provided here are worth the money. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and the digital library is a plus point of our college.
Faculty: There are well-experienced faculty members with industrial knowledge, and some are from reputed institutions like IITs and NITs. I had certain interactions with people who are from top industries as our college generally invites directors of industries and professors for guest lectures, which make me think innovative and advanced.
