Sri Venkateswara college is really worth It.

Placements: Generally, our college does not place students course-wise. But our placement record is so good. Around 250+ students were placed in different companies in different roles last year. Our placement record is one of the best in Delhi University colleges. We provide equal opportunities for every student.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing compared to other Delhi University colleges. We have three buildings, and two are for science students. One is known as the Science Block, where the biochemistry labs and some other labs are located. The Old Block has chemistry and electronics labs, which are well-equipped and fully functional.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and qualified. They are Ph.D. holders. Some teachers completed their Ph.D.s from IIT and abroad. My course is very relevant for research, and our college provides research opportunities as well. Exams are normal if you study well, and most students pass, but some also get supplementary exams.

Academic Excellence and Beyond: Exploring Venky College.

Placements: I haven't heard much about placements since we are in our freshman year but, according to the graduates who have already passed out, introduced to us by the professors, Chemistry has a wide range of applicability and can work in any field. From my observations, recruitment from companies is on a very small scale. Coming to internships, almost 80% of my batch participated in the internship fair out of which almost got a letter of word from different companies. But due to long hours of work and unfavorable timings, most of them drop the internship offers. As I have mentioned, Chemistry has a wide range of applicability and a student can opt to pursue a Ph.D. or MBA. The advantage of pursuing an MBA is that a person learns to manage business with the companies and also pursues his/her Science interest. If a student is more clear on pure Science, it is recommended to pursue a doctorate degree.

Infrastructure: Most of the books are available in the library for B.Sc. Chemistry though some books are in limited amount. The infrastructure of the Chemistry department is average though it would be much appreciated for the authorities to install ACs in classrooms to tolerate this scorching heat. Sports and games are available if one wants to participate in them.

Faculty: The teaching faculty members are good although lacking at some corners but I personally feel it is up to the students to fill the gaps that their teacher leaves behind. The teachers are highly qualified and they know what they are doing. The semester exams were just average, of course if you study, it's at a pretty average level, nothing like rocket Science questions are asked in freshmen years though the review might change in the succeeding years. The pass percentage is about 90%.

Other: The pure interest in Chemistry brought me out here in this burning city to pursue Bachelor's. I was never good in Chemistry which engraved curiosity corners in my mind. I would say the best thing about this course was the professors that made me change the perspective of teacher-student relationship and my batchmates who had a helpful mindset in every instance.

Sri Venkateswara College is a very good college. It provides a very good environment.

Placements: Students are placed with different companies every year. This year, around 40 percent of our students got internships and they got to learn new skills with them. The minimum package for internships is 10,000 per month and the teachers and seniors also guide us in the process.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of our college are very good. The hostels are also very hygienic and we also have a medical room for emergencies. The sports facilities are also very good. They provide balls and all other kits to play sports and games at the college.

Faculty: Yes, our teachers are very knowledgeable and well qualified and they teach very properly. Exams are moderate. It appears easy when we attend classes and revise the topics taught in class regularly. The students are very hardworking and they score really good marks.

Other: I chose Chemistry Honours as my course and I am really happy with it. The teachers and students are very cooperative with each other and the college crowd is also really good.

Our college provides good infrastructure.

Placements: Our college provided placements rarely in our course. It conducted an internship mela for which many companies visited. Many students took part in it and got good internships. Students pursued other paths like content writing, social media management, etc.

Infrastructure: Labs were well-equipped and clean. The new building was under construction during our graduation. Library was equipped with books needed for the course. Xerox shop was available on campus. Venky's canteen served tasty dosa. Fields in winter and the rock garden in summer were good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful. The course curriculum keeps changing according to the industry. Semester exams were not difficult due to regular classes and assignments. Our classes were conducted online due to covid. Teachers gave their best to provide the best knowledge to students.

Other: Students of our college learned a lot. They visited a few industries and got a better view of the outside world. Our college should provide more research exposure and placements.

Review of Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.

Placements: This course did not offer any placements, if students want to pursue research. There were the best mentors under whose guidance, and students can easily review or publish research papers. Students also get recommendations for foreign universities as well.

Infrastructure: In this college, classrooms were well furnished but Wi-Fi was not enabled. The laboratories were well maintained with all the new instruments and the staff was good. The library was provided, and many books were available. Regarding the hostel, it was a homely place to live, and the food served was good.

Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified in their respective subjects, and very helpful in every aspect. The teaching quality was commendable. The curriculum of this course offers 2-3 subjects which were very knowledgeable from the industry perspective. The semester exams were not easy. If students had studied well, then they can pass with a good CGPA. Teachers were helpful in this college.

Other: The chemistry department is the best. Teachers give all their potential and knowledge to students. Some teachers were the best in their fields and especially for research projects they can help students every bit. Also apart from studying, this college life and crowd were unbeatable. The fest was the best, so students can choose this college without any second thought.

I am satisfied and happy with this college.

Placements: College offers good placements. There is one internship society that posts offers from different startups and companies for students. The internship can be both online and offline.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure especially in the library with all major newspapers like the Hindu, Times of India, and many more which students can access during their free time. Labs are well-equipped with equipment and the lab staff is very supportive during our experiments.

Faculty: Teachers are very good and highly qualified. They teach amazingly. Experiments performed in the lab make us ready to carry out these experiments with great efficiency in the future.

Other: SVC college has good connectivity via both metro and bus. Our college is next to the metro station and the nearest bus stands are Dhaula Kuan and Satya Niketan.

Our college is the best in DU.

Placements: Placement is hard to get job in same field but good for arts and commeece students. Placement cell organise events to help students in finding jobs. Our college has the best placement cell. Reputed companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, Mckinsey, Brain, etc. come to recruit students. Many interns are hired regularly.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. I give it a 4-star. There are good air classrooms, an auditorium, gardens, a newly built basketball court, and a bank. Hostel is good but allowed to only those living at a far distance. ICT service is good but sometimes there are a few connection issues. Labs lack proper instrumentation.

Faculty: College has several known alumni like Sriti Jha, Rishabh Pant, Rajiv Makhni, etc. It is considered as the top colleges. They are friendly and willing to help. The exposure is immense with several seminars, departmental fests and annual research internship is Sri Vipra. Its NIRF 2020 Rank is 14 and provides UGC and PGC.

Other: College societies are a great way to experience amazing campus life.

It is one of the best colleges in the South campus of DU.

Placements: Our college has a very active placement cell arranging and monitoring various placement opportunities and internships. Every year, various top companies such Deloitte, KPMG, DE Shaw, etc., hire students from our college. The placement cell organises an 'Internship Fair' annually wherein the students are offered with internship opportunities from different firms and companies across domains. The placement cell regularly comes up with internships in different startups and companies such as Byju's, Zomato, Chegg, etc. Open to students of all courses and years, which is highly remarkable. Furthermore, the college organises its research-oriented summer internship programme for different course disciplines, named Sri-Vipra, every year. Talking about our course, the course-specific/related placement opportunities are very few right after graduation. Most of the students tend to pursue master's courses in well-reputed institutes within India and abroad.

Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped with vast labs, spacious classrooms, and big libraries with all relevant study materials and resources specific to different courses. Our department has three labs with instruments and apparatus of high quality. The college has a girls hostel and a boys hostel with reasonable fees which provide decent food. However, admission to the college hostel is based on merit and distance from hometown. Students hailing from NCR are exempted from admission to the hostel. The college canteen provides good and hygienic food including South Indian dishes.

Faculty: Teachers are supportive and highly qualified. Even in online mode, they do their best to make the classes interactive. From time to time, they guide us and give insights into various scopes and opportunities for higher education and jobs by conducting webinars and interactive sessions with alumni. Our teachers motivate us to be actively involved in research activities and offer us scientific literature writing opportunities such as writing review articles, research papers, and book chapters, under their guidance. The college follows the curriculum prescribed by the University of Delhi and is relevant and quite interesting for anyone intrigued by chemical sciences. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty level. Anyone who attends most of the lectures and studies regularly can easily score well.
