Amazing college with good infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: The placement scenario is good. The college holds an annual Internship Fair that gives students good opportunities to explore different fields. The average package is 10 LPA. Students from Physics Hons often opt for higher studies. Mathematics, Economics, and Commerce have good placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. The college has Information Technology labs. They are well equipped, with smart classrooms and hostel facilities, but seats are limited. The campus also has lifts in buildings. The air-conditioned library is really good.

Faculty: Faculty is nice and friendly. The teaching quality is definitely great. Many professors have studied abroad, especially in Physics Hons. Even the non-teaching staff is very friendly and approachable. Exams are conducted semester-wise. The college follows the syllabus prescribed by University of Delhi.

Other: The college is one of the best when it comes to college life and fests. The annual fest, NEXUS, organized by the Fine Arts Association (FAA), is amazing and mind-blowing. The college crowd is diverse. It ranges from students from the Northeast to South India. College truly shines when it comes to extracurricular activities, along with different societies actively hosting events and competitions. Overall, students really enjoy their time here at SVC.

NEXUS, the fest, is amazing. Faculty is also very good.

Placements: I am not very sure about placements, as I am not sitting for on-campus placements and will be going for higher studies. However, as far as I know, the placement cell of my college is among the best in DU. Big companies like KPMG and PwC visit our college for placements. The cell also organizes an Internship Fair every year for students.

Infrastructure: We have two on-campus hostels for both girls and boys. The seats are limited per course. Most students have to find accommodation outside the campus. It is not a bad option. Satya Niketan is right in front of our college. It has facilities like PGs and flats for students. The area is also safe.

Faculty: Exams are conducted on a semester-wise basis. The difficulty depends on the course. Students can score well if they study regularly. Teachers are very helpful. They are supportive. They encourage students to participate in research work. The non-teaching staff members are also very helpful.

Other: The Fine Arts Association is the organizing body and society of our college that organizes the annual fest, NEXUS. Students should join it as it is a fun experience.

Review of Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Placement is good at our college. The placement cell works really hard. They invite top recruiting firms to our college. Top firms include KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PwC, and Accenture. The average package is 7–8 LPA. Courses with the highest placements include Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, Economics, and others.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided by our college. University of Delhi is amazing at Sri Venkateswara College. It has updated laboratories with the latest equipment and modern teaching methods. Classes are modern with smart boards. The library is well maintained with a large collection of books and air conditioning. The canteen is hygienic. The food is pretty decent.

Faculty: Faculty of my course is excellent, with some teachers having completed their Ph.D. from abroad. They highly encourage students to get involved in research activities. The curriculum is as prescribed by University of Delhi and is updated. Teachers and other staff members are very supportive as well.

Other: We have more than 40 societies in our college. Each society conducts its own fest on a small scale. The annual fest is called Nexus. It is one of the best among all DU colleges.

About Sri Venkateswara College.

Placements: The overall placements in our college are really good. Many students are getting into top companies like Brain & Co. and securing good packages. However, placements for my course, B.Sc. Physics is not that good. Most students go for higher studies.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is fine. It has a few issues, like a lack of air conditioning and old benches. However, Physics labs have very good equipment and are air-conditioned. The library is also well-equipped with books on every topic.

Faculty: Faculty and lab staff of the Physics department are very talented and knowledgeable. They teach very well, and it is easy to understand the concepts taught in class. The curriculum includes some less relevant subjects like AEC, SEC, and VAC, but that is due to DU and not the college.

Other: The crowd at our college is very good, with many friendly and talented students. There are many societies, and our fest is the biggest fest of DU.

I am fully satisfied with the infrastructure, faculty, and facilities.

Placements: So, I was doing B.Sc. Physics Honours from Sri Venkateswara College. Science people don't get any placements, so we go for further studies, and some students start preparing for government exams. But yes, I can say that many students from our course got selected for really good institutes like IITs and IISERs, etc. Some of them went abroad for higher studies, so yes, we are also doing a really good job after passing from here.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good, and it was getting better also because at our time construction was going on. The library is now far better, and all kinds of books are available there. Classrooms are big and well-furnished. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The physics lab also had all kinds of equipment, and every apparatus was working properly. Only one girl from our class got a hostel on campus, but according to her, it was good, and the food quality of the mess was also nice.

Faculty: The physics faculty was really nice. Our professors were well-trained and had really good knowledge about the subject, and they were really approachable. They helped us a lot in the course and in other extra activities too. Semester exams were moderately difficult, and we had good seating arrangements during exams.

Other: We used to have fests and extra cultural activities every month, so it was nice and enjoyable. Unlike other colleges, there was no violence among students, and the campus was so peaceful and quiet. There is a big ground where we can sit and study in the sunlight during winter. Overall, I had a good experience over there.

Sri Venkateshwara College Review.

Placements: Around 30 to 40 percent of students from my course get placed. The highest package offered last year in our course was 9 Lacs per annum and the lowest was 3 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies from our college are AON CONSULTING, BECK BENCHERS, EY INDIA, DELOITTE INDIA. The highest placement offered last year was 2,100,000 per annum and the median package offered was 600,000 per annum and the average package offered was 650,000.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college and our course is good. All the necessary equipment required for our course is available and equipment required for lab classes is available. The campus is lush green and classrooms are well equipped with fans, smart boards, and projectors. All the buildings are well maintained. There are grounds available for all sports like basketball, tennis, cricket, and football.

Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful towards students. All the teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable in their subject, and their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is very good because it not only includes theoretical knowledge but also an equal amount of practical knowledge of the subject. As mentioned above, the course provides practical knowledge of the subject, which makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult; exams are of moderate level and the passing criteria for exams is a minimum of 40 percent in both theory and practical exams.

Other: I chose this course because I have great interest in Physics and Mathematics. The best thing about this course is that you get to learn about various phenomena that happen regularly in our daily life. The thing which can be improved, according to me, in this course is that knowledge about programming languages should be provided, which will help us to make simulations of the experiments we perform in the lab and make us more industry-ready. Many events are regularly organized by different societies and clubs. The college fest is known as NEXUS and is organized in the months of March and April. The metro station is only 50 meters from the college main gate, and Dhula Kuan bus stand is around 1 km away. Scholarships are provided by the college on family income and merit basis.

Our college is good in all aspects.

Placements: There are around 60 students in our course. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Decathlon, Bajaj, etc. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top roles offered are analysts, research associate, etc. Interested students got internships from our course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good. Our college provides facilities like proper labs with all apparatus, fully furnished classrooms with proper boards and projectors, and a huge library with all course-related books. The food served in the hostel is nutritious, healthy, and hygienic. Our college provides outdoor and indoor sports facilities like a basketball court, a table tennis court, etc.

Faculty: Our teachers are experienced, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. They provide us with theoretical and practical knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant as it covers a lot of interesting subjects of physics and makes students excel in all subjects. It makes students ready for future and higher studies. The difficulty level of semester exams is moderate to difficult and depends on the time invested by students in their studies. The pass percentage is 98%.

Other: I opted for this course because it provides many career opportunities. A physics degree trains you to become an expert problem solver. The best thing about our course is that you can apply for research and scientist in top organisations like DRDO, ISRO, etc. Our college should provide more internships. Every year, Nexus annual fest is organised in our college, which is very vibrant and fun. The campus crowd is very good. The campus is located at a prime location with connectivity to Durgabai Deshmukh's south campus. Our college conducts many extracurricular activities. Our college has a music society and a dance society.

I am a little dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: In our course, many placements are not available but a lot of internships are provided to students. Perks of these internships are certificate of completion and stipend up to Rs.30,000 are provided. Some recruiting companies are Girl Power Talk, Hike, Skilible, Fiesta, and Neeti Shastra.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities provided by the college are Wi-Fi, well-ventilated classrooms, labs, a library, etc. The classroom does not have an air-conditioning facility. Library has a limit of issuing 4 books for a duration of 14 days. The quality of food served in the canteen is good but that of the mess is of average quality.

Faculty: Teachers of our department aren't so supportive regarding the uplift of a student who is less compared to others. Teachers are helpful regarding academics. Doubts are cleared easily and teachers are highly accessible. Semester exams are neither so difficult nor so easy.
