SEED Exam Centres 2027 - The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will conduct the SEED exam in an online proctored mode. This means the candidates will not be required to visit an exam centre to take the written exams. Consequently, no exam centres for SEED 2027 will be allocated.

SEED B.Des admit card will be released in the third week of March 2027. Candidates must download the admit card from the website to give the exam. The guidelines for taking the SEED 2027 written exam will be mentioned in the admit card. For the SEED 2027 exam, candidates need a laptop, webcam, and uninterrupted internet connectivity.

How to select centre for SEED Entrance Exam?

SEED 2027 exam will be held in an online proctored mode and will not be conducted in a center-based mode. So, when filling out the SEED 2027 application form, the candidate is not required to select an exam center.

Candidate can take the exam from a place of their choice, including their homes, provided they have a laptop, webcam, and internet connectivity.
The exam will be for one hour between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Symbiosis Institute of Design released the full details of the online exam on its official website - sid.edu.in. Details include the minimum requirements for taking the entrance exam, for instance, software and browser requirements.
The candidate needs to meet the system and software requirements to properly take the SEED 2027 exam.

SEED 2027 Admit Card

SEED Admit card will be released online for B.Des and M.Des programmes. Candidates can download it from the SID website. Candidates must download the SEED 2027 Hall ticket to appear for the examination.

Q: Can a candidate change the SEED test centre after admit card is issued?

The SEED 2026 exam will be conducted in an online proctored mode. So, there is no option to select or change exam centres.

At the time of filling out the SEED 2026 application form, the candidate doesn't need to select any exam centre.

Candidates may note that the 1st phase of the SEED entrance exam includes written tests. If the candidate gets shortlisted, then hr or she has to next appear in a Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round.

SEED Exam Day guidelines

SEED 2027 exam will be administered in an online proctored mode. To take the exam, the candidate needs to be ready on time. Some of the important points related to the SEED Exam Centre are given below if SID conducts the exam in offline mode.

Eatables are not allowed inside the exam place. The candidate may, however, be allowed to keep drinking water with them. The candidate must carefully go through all the guidelines for the online exam. This includes what items are allowed and not allowed.
Nobody is allowed inside the exam place, except the candidate, once the online exam is in progress. Parents and guardians will have to wait for their wards outside the exam place.
There will be no arrangement for depositing bags and other personal belongings at the exam center. Candidates will either have to leave them at the gate or find alternative options.
Only the original printout of the SEED admit card will be considered a valid document for entry.

Q: When will the SEED 2027 exam be conducted?

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will conduct the SEED 2027 written exam on January 11, 2027 (tentatively). M.Des exam will be conducted on May 03, 2027 (tentatively).

Q: I have done foundation program/Diploma from another institute. Do I need to appear in SEED 2027 or I can get direct admission?

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) does not have any provisions for direct admission to the second year. So, candidates have to take admission in the first year of the B.Des program. Note that admission to the B.Des is only through the SEED 2027 exam.

Scores of the qualifying exam will not be considered for admission to the B.Des program. Neither does SID accept scores of other popular entrance exams like NIFT, NID DAT, etc.

The exam conducting body i.e. SIU of Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) is responsible for allocating/ assigning the exam centre to the candidate. It may be noted that the SEED 2025 exam will be administered in an online proctored mode. So, the candidate will not be allocated an exam centre. Instead, the candidate will be able to take the written exams from a place of choice.
