HBTU CUET Admission and Cutoff: Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur, is one of Uttar Pradesh's oldest and most respected technical institutions, widely known for B.Tech courses and its excellent placements. Eligibility Criteria for CUET-Based Programs at HBTU

Step 1- Appear for CUET UG 2026: Candidates must first register for and appear in CUET (UG) 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), selecting the relevant domain-specific subjects (Mathematics/Applied Mathematics for BS-MS, and General Test/domain subjects for BBA) along with the General Test paper where applicable.

Step 2- CUET UG Result: Candidates download their CUET UG 2026 scorecard with details of normalized scores across subjects.

Step 3- Register on HBTU's Admission Portal: Candidates have to register for HBTU at hbtu.admissions.nic.in. After registration, candidates will need to fill application form with personal and academic details, upload documents, and pay the registration fee.

Step 4- Choice Filling: After registration and form filling, candidates fill their program preferences like BS-MS (Mathematics and Data Science) or BBA as per their interest and CUET score competitiveness.

Step 5- Seat Allotment: HBTU will release the seat allotment result based on CUET UG scores, category, and domicile status (UP domicile candidates are considered for regular seats, while a 5% supernumerary quota is reserved for candidates from other states).

BBA: In previous cycles, the CUET UG cutoff score for BBA under the General/Home State category were round the 50th percentile by the final round, with earlier rounds requiring comparatively higher scores.

BS-MS (Mathematics and Data Science): This course has seen lower competition than mainstream B.Tech branches with moderate CUET scores in Mathematics and the General Test have had a reasonable chance of allotment, especially in later rounds.
