IIT Madras Placements 2019 - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has been ranked as the top public engineering institute in India by NIRF MHRD since last years (2016-2019). A total of 1300 students had registered for IIT Madras placements 2019. The total of 1015 job profiles was offered. Including accepted PPOs, 844 students have been successfully placed. The departments of Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Engineering Design the institute have achieved approximately 80% placements. During the same time in 2017, a total of 766 students was placed.
Candidates were offered jobs at Consulting, Analytics, Finance, Education & FMCG. A few of the top companies that visited the campus include Citibank, McKinsey & Company, ZS Associates, Tata Consultancy Services, Flipkart, Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd etc.
IIT Madras Placement Report 2018
Over 490 job profiles were on offer by a total of 326 companies registered for phase-I campus placements at IIT Madras. Out of the registered companies, a total of 195 companies visited IIT Madras campus for recruitments.
Including accepted PPOs, a total of 844 students has been successfully placed at the end of IIT Madras phase-I placements 2018. With this, the institute has achieved about 63% placements. However, in the departments of Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Engineering Design the institute has achieved approximately 80% placements. During the same time of the last year (2017), a total of 766 students was placed by 195 companies.

In 2017, 224 companies had participated in IIT Madras placements making a total of 854 offers. Out of the total job offers, 739 were accepted by students. Total number of PPO offers that were made in 2017 was 117. Out of this, total 95 PPOs were accepted by IIT Madras students. However, the highest number of placements were seen for BTech+MTech (dual degree) students. In 2017, total 252 dual degree students were placed against 340 registered students. The number of MTech students who had registered for IIT Madras placements 2017 was 250. And, the total number of MTech students placed was 177.
