CUSAT CAT Exam Pattern 2026: The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) will release the CUSAT CAT 2026 paper pattern on its official website,  admissions.cusat.ac.in. The CUSAT CAT exam pattern will include details on the marking scheme, exam duration, number of questions, and other relevant information. Those who are preparing for the CUSAT CAT exam must familiarise themselves with the exam pattern before starting their preparation. The authority will conduct the CUSAT CAT exam in online mode. As per the CUSAT CAT Btech pattern, the question paper will have 225 questions to be attempted in 3 hours

CUSAT CAT 2026 Exam Pattern

The authority will release the CUSAT CAT 2026 exam pattern in the official notification. The CUSAT CAT exam will have MCQ-type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to be attempted in 3 hours. For more details, candidates can refer to the table below.

Some Important Points;

  • For each right answer, three (3) marks will be awarded and for each wrong answer one (1) mark will be deducted.
  • In case of a tie, the marks of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the CAT will be considered in the same order.
  • A minimum of 10 marks have to be scored separately for Mathematics and 10 marks for Physics and Chemistry combined, in the CAT examination for ranking the candidates for B.Tech. programs.

The CUSAT CAT cutoff is the minimum rank at which candidates are allotted a branch. The CUSAT CAT cutoff is different for each course and college. The authority will announce the cutoff of CUSAT CAT after each round of counselling.

The CUSAT CAT passing marks for the BTech exam is 10 marks in maths and 10 marks in physics and chemistry combined. However, Kerala SC and ST candidates do not have a minimum passing mark.
