Overview

The CUET PG notification 2026 was released on December 14. The candidates were given 20 days to fill their CUET PG 2026 applications. The last date for application correction was January 30 2026. The candidates were allowed to make changes in their registration form, but they were not allowed to make changes in their personal details. The candidates should note that the last saved application form was deemed final and the NTA considered the details mentioned in the last saved application form. 

The CUET PG 2026 exam was conducted online as a Computer-Based Test(CBT). The exam started on March 6. In the answer key, the NTA confirmed that the exam was held till March 30. 

CUET PG exam dates 2026 were announced by NTA. Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree from a recognised university, or are in the final year of graduation, are eligible to appear for the CUET PG examination. Check the article for the latest CUET PG 2026 notifications.

  • Exam Overview: The CUET PG notification starts with the introduction of the exam, in terms of the exam conducting body, participating universities, and mode of conduct.
  • Important Dates: The CUET PG notification document includes a table of important dates for events such as application, correction window, city intimation slip, admit card and exam dates. The dates for answer key and result will be announced later. 
  • Number of Papers and Medium: The CUET PG 2026 notification will include the total number of exam papers and the languages or mediums of the question papers. There are 157 papers across streams. The medium of the CUET PG question papers is bilingual, or English and Hindi. However, the Acharya subject question papers will be in Sanskrit. The Language papers will be in the respective languages.

  • List of Courses and Question Paper Codes: The next part of the CUET PG notification includes the list of courses or papers for which the entrance exam is conducted. It will be followed by the question paper codes.

CUET PG 2026 Eligibility Criteria

CUET PG 2026 is a postgraduate-level entrance exam. The eligibility criteria laid down by NTA can be checked below. 

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in the subject they plan to opt for in the CUET PG exam. 
  • Those who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible to appear for the exam, provided they obtain the degree within the stipulated date.
  • There is no age limit to appear for the exam.
  • The participating universities may have separate eligibility criteria, which must be complied with at the time of admission.

CUET PG 2026 Application Process and Fees

The CUET PG 2026 application process was conducted online. Students had to visit the official website to fill and submit the application form. Take a look at the process below. 

  • Visit the CUET PG exam website: First, visit the exam website and click on the Registration tab.
  • Complete Registration process: Complete the registration process by filling up the form and creating a password. 
  • Complete Application process: Once the CUET PG 2026 registration process is completed and the login credentials are generated, click on the Login tab to proceed towards the application form. The form was divided into multiple sections, including personal and academic details, selection of exam paper, question paper medium and exam city choices. Students can choose up to four exam papers and cities in order of preference. 
  • Upload Documents: Applicants had to upload their scanned photograph, signature and PWD or Reservation Category Certificate, if applicable, in the given format and dimensions.
  • Pay the Application Fee: Lastly, the CUET PG application fee has to be paid. The amount depends on the candidate category, the number of papers selected and the exam centre location.

Q:   What is the difference between CUET PG and IIT JAM?
A: 

IIT JAM is for PG scientific and engineering courses in IITs and other premier institutons while CUET PG is a wider platform for admissions to postgraduate programs across private, state and central universities.

Q:   What are the Masters courses offered through CUET PG?
A: 

CUET PG 2026 is a national-level entrance exam for candidates who wish to pursue their Masters degree from the central universities. From the past years, many other state, private, and deemed universities is participating in the CUET PG examination. The examination will offer admission to a range of master's courses including normal and professional degree courses:

Q:   How many city preferences one can fill out in CUET PG Application form?
A: 

Candidates can fill up to four cities as per their preferences in the CUET PG 2026 application form. Initially, two city choices could be entered, but later on, NTA increased the number to four for greater flexibility for students. 

Q:   Is CUET PG held twice a year?
A: 

No, CUET PG is conducted once a year. CUET PG 2026 was held in March 2026. The exam is conducted as a computer-based test (online mode). CUET PG exam duration is 90 minutes.

Q:   Who sets the CUET PG syllabus?
A: 

The CUET PG 2026 examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency in the various examination centres across the nation a few cities outside India. The syllabus for the CUET PG papers will be set by the exam conducting authority. The subject experts, after taking all the probable suggestions from all the participating universities, will set the syllabus for the PG level entrance exam on the basis of their undergraduate course curriculum.

Q:   What are some strategies to manage time effectively during the CUET PG exam?
A: 

Understand exam structure, practice within time limit, prioritise and strategise challenging questions, read very carefully.

Q:   If I do not receive my CUET-PG admit card, what should I do?
A: 

Candidates are advised to immediately contact the officials and the conducting body if the candidate is not able to download their CUET-PG admit cards. The contact details will be provided on exam website and the information bulletin as well. At the same time, they must ensure that they had completed the application process carefully by paying the application fee. Unless they have completed the application process successfully, they will not be issued the admit card of CUET-PG.

Q:   What to do if there is a discrepancy in CUET-PG admit card?
A: 

In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signature shown on the CUET-PG admit card, candidates should immediately approach the NTA Help Line between 10.00 A. M. and 5.00 P. M. NTA mentions, "In such a case, the candidate would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.

Q:   What are some important instructions regarding CUET PG admit card?
A: 

Candidates should keep in mind the following information in mind during and after downloading the CUET PG 2026 admit card. 

  • In case a candidate is unable to download his/ her CUET PG admit cards from the website, he or she may approach the Help Line 011 40759000 between 9.30 am to 5.30 pm or write an email to NTA. It is mandatory to get the admit card of CUET PG 2026 signed by a parent/guardian.

  • It is mandatory to carry a valid photo ID proof on the day of CUET PG 2026.

  • Candidates have to carry a passport-sized photograph on the day of the examination. This photograph has to be affixed to the attendance sheet.

  • In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signatures shown on the Admit Card and Confirmation Page, the candidate may immediately approach the Help Line between the timings given above. In such cases, candidates would appear in
    the Examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.

CUET PG 2026 application form was released on December 14, 2025 online. Last date to submit application form for CUET PG 2026 was January 23, 2026. It must be noted NTA only accept online applications for CUET PG exam.
