IBPS RRB 2024 Selection Process: Prelims, Mains, Interview, Single Online Test & More

IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

The selection process of IBPS RRB Clerk includes the preliminary exam and mains exam. Since it is a lower grade post, therefore, no interview will be conducted. The provisional allotment of candidates is done based on the mains exam. The marks of the preliminary exam are not counted for the preparation of the merit list. On the basis of the marks of the prelims exam, an adequate number of candidates are selected for the mains exam.

IBPS RRB Officers Scale I

The selection process of this post includes preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. Based on the marks of the preliminary exam, candidates are selected for the mains exam. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for an interview. The final allotment of candidates is done based on the mains exam and interview. Selected candidates are given an appointment for the post of Assistant Manager.

IBPS RRB Officers Scale II and III

The post of Officers Scale II is of Manager while the post of Officers Scale III is of Senior Manager. All registered candidates are required to appear for Single Level examination. There is no preliminary exam for this post. All shortlisted candidates of Single Level examination are required to appear for the interview panel. Final allotment of candidates to these posts based on the combined marks of single-level examination and interview.

Filling the Application Form

After going through the notification candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria should proceed towards filling IBPS RRB application form. The application form should be filled online only. The application process begins after the release of IBPS RRB Notification.The application fee, INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories, can be paid online. Issue of Admit Card

IBPS RRB admit card is issued separately for different posts and stages of exam. The admit card is released online on the official website. To download the IBPS RRB admit card, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The steps to download IBPS RRB admit card are given below:

• Enter the required credentials

Appearing in the Exam

IBPS RRB exam is conducted in various stages. Candidates who apply for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) post need to appear for prelims and mains exam. For Officers Scale I, candidates need to appear for prelims, mains and interview. Candidates for Officers Scale II and III posts are required to appear for single-level exam and interview. Declaration of Result

IBPS RRB result is declared online on the official website. To check the IBPS RRB result status, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The scorecard and IBPS RRB cutoff are released few days after the declaration of result.

The provisional allotment in IBPS RRB exam is done in the following manner:

• On completion of the interview process or the mains exam, depending upon the number of IBPS RRB vacancies to be filled in as per the business needs, candidates shortlisted are provisionally allotted to any one of the RRBs based on the merit-cum-preference
• For Officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is restricted within the RRBs of the state opted for as well as IBPS RRB cut off
• Candidates belonging to the reserved category selected on the basis of the norms as applicable to the General Category are treated at par with a General category candidate.
• Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under the unreserved (General) category are not adjusted against a reserved post. However, their original category entered in the online registration remains unchanged
• In the event where two or more candidates obtains the same score, the merit order is decided as per the date of birth
• The provisional allotment is subject to the candidates fulfilling the criteria of RRBs and identity verification
• The letter of appointment, joining formalities, etc. are done by the RRBs
• A reserve list is maintained by the IBPS which is filled as per the business need
