NTA releases the JEE Main application form online on the official website of JEE Main. Check the simple process to apply for JEE Main 2026 below:

• In the first step, candidates must complete the JEE Main 2026 registration process at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 
• Next, candidates will have to select their nationality, category, question paper medium and choice of test cities.
• After filling out the form, candidates will have to upload their scanned documents, i.e., photograph and signature. If applicable, the category certificate and PwD certificate also have to be uploaded.
• Next, candidates will have to pay the JEE Main 2026 application fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI as per their category and the number of selected papers.

NTA conducts the UGC NET exam in December and June. The NTA UGC NET application form for both sessions is released separately. Filling out the UGC NET application is divided into five stages: registration form, application form, image & signature upload, application fee, and confirmation page. Candidates can apply for both the December and June sessions, as there is no attempt limit. UGC NET is held to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.

Registration

The first step includes registration with verification of OTP. In this step, candidates are usually required to enter their name, date of birth, city, email ID, password creation and mobile phone number. Once these details are entered, candidates are verified with an OTP sent to the mobile number. Once the OTP is verified, candidates can proceed to fill out the application form.

NTA exam application form

The details to be filed in the application form will vary for all NTA exams. However, in most exams, candidates are required to fill in their preference of exam city for taking the exam, academic details, and some personal details.

Upload scanned documents

Most of the registration process for all the NTA exams includes the candidates uploading a scanned copy of their passport-sized image and signature. Some NTA exam application processes may include uploading of some additional documents, if needed.

Payment of application fee

Most of the application process for the NTA exams is completed after the payment of the required application fee.
