Harcourt Butler Technological Institute admissions 2026 are open for various UG and PG courses. A few more updates are as follows:
- The CMAT 2026 result has been declared for admission to the MBA/PGDM/MMS courses. Students can download their scorecards by logging into the official website.
- The IIT JAM 2026 Round 1 counselling registration and choice filling process for admission to the MSc course has now closed. The first admission list will be announced on May 25, 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted until May 31, 2026, for admission to several UG courses.
- The CAT 2026 registration is expected to start in the Aug, 2026 for admission to the MBA course.
- The NIMCET 2026 application process is now over for admission to the MCA course. The NIMCET exam 2026 will be held tentatively on Jun 6, 2026.
- The CUET PG 2026 results have been released for admission to various PG-level courses. The counselling schedule will be out soon.
- The GATE 2026 exam has been concluded for ME/MTech/PhD admission.
HBTU Kanpur Highlights 2025
Located in Kanpur, Harcourt Butler Technical University, popularly referred to as HBTU, is one of the government universities established in the year 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. HBTU is associated with AKTU which provides courses approved by the AICTE. In addition to receiving a recognition from the UGC, HBTU also has an ‘A+’ grade from NAAC. These approved programs within Harcourt Butler Technical University include from the streams of Engineering, Technology, Management, Architecture, and a few others.

Various courses at the UG, PG, and Doctorate levels are offered at HBUT Kanpur. All these are offered in many fields such as Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, etc. A total of 13 UG courses are offered, such as BBA, BTech, etc.

Hostel: HBTU Kanpur is spread across two campuses namely east campus and west campus. The distance between these two campuses is approximately three kilometers. The main campus has two hostels for boys namely, Shirdharacharya Hostel and Ramanujan Hostel and six hostels for girl students such as Alaknanda Hostel, Mandakini Hostel, Gangotri Hostel, Bhagirathi Hostel, Kaveri Hostel and Saraswati Hostel.
Gymnasium Facility: The gymnasium facility is available on the west campus of the HBTU near the west campus hostel. The gymnasium has a wide range of exercise machines such as treadmills, cross trainers, exercise bikes, exercise balls, dumbbells, and strength training machines. The students are required to enter their names and other relevant details in the register. Residents are free to use all the facilities available in the gymnasium.
Health Centre: HBTU Kanpur maintains an outdoor patient dispensary on the east campus. There is a medical officer to look after the routine health needs of the students and staff. Complicated cases are referred to the medical college/ LLRM hospital for necessary treatment. Prescribed medicines, if available, are provided by the university dispensary.
Guest House: HBTU Kanpur has a well-furnished guest house on the east campus for visiting faculty, officers, guests, examiners and many more. It has 02 VIP suites, 10 deluxe AC rooms and 01 ICT enabled conference room. The accommodation can be booked in advance or on the spot if vacant, by paying charges as laid by the university.
