Know the Exam Structure

To thoroughly understand the AILET exam, familiarise yourself with the AILET 2026 syllabus, go through the previous year papers and AILET 2026 exam pattern. This will give you insight into the kind of questions, the exam duration, mode, and test paper language. Additionally, focus on the important topics from the AILET syllabus. By preparing relevant topics first, you can speed up your preparation.

Practice Mock Test Papers

Solving the AILET previous year question papers regularly, along with taking mock test, will help you increase your accuracy in solving the questions during the exam. This will allow you to identify and correct the mistakes. 

Where can I find AILET mock tests? 

NLU Delhi does not provide mock tests for AILET. You can refer best books for AILET 2026 preparation that have the previous year and mock papers as well.

Candidates are not allowed to carry following items to AILET 2026 Examination hall:

  • Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators etc.
  • Handwritten notes
  • Manuals and digests
  • Any other form of study material

A:

NLU Delhi conducted the AILET 2026 on December 14, 2025. The admission notification published on the official website - nludelhi.ac.in.

A:

AILET 2026 exam was conducted on December 14, 2025 in online mode. AILET 2026 Result is available to download on the website. NLU Delhi released the AILET first merit list 2026 on January 8, 2026.

AILET 2026 Subject-Wise Time Management Tips

Following are some of the subject-wise tips

1. English Language

  • Allocate about 15 minutes to this section. 
  • Use the remaining time for grammar-based questions and vocabulary.
  • Start with the easier questions to build confidence.

2. Current Affairs & General Knowledge

  • This section requires less time as it is fact-based. Answer questions you know and the unsured ones.
  • Regularly update yourself with current events and historical facts to improve speed.

3. Logical Reasoning

  • Focus on each section and allocate time to understand the kind of questions asked.

AILET Time Management Tips: During the Exam

To get admission to the NLU Delhi, appear for the All India Law Entrance Test. However, it is required to manage the exam time. This will enable candidates to ensure each question is answered within the time. Read the tips given below

  • Go through the Entire Question Paper: Begin by reading the entire question paper and find the sections that are easiest. This way, you can save time and solve many questions in a go.
  • Skip Tough Questions: Focus more on solving questions you are know about. Questions that are hard to understand require time and you cannot afford to let go of your precious exam time. 
  • Give time to the GK and Current Affairs section: You can allocate around 10-15 minutes to solve this section. These fact-based questions will require less effort to solve. The section carries a weightage of 30 marks, so if you can answer all the questions correctly, you will earn +30 marks.
  • Negative Marking: AILET 2026 has a negative marking of -0.25 per incorrect answer. Therefore, avoid answering any questions you are unsure about.
  • Keep Track of Time of the time closely so that you answer each question.
