
MHCET Law Counselling 2025 - The Maharashtra CET Cell has started the Institute Level Round for 5-year LLB and MH CET 3-year LLB on the MAH CET Cell official website. Candidates will be able to access the MH Law CET Seat Allotment List through the college website and CAP portal. Thereafter, they will have to report to the college for seat confirmation and document verification.

The registration process for the counselling started on June 26, 2025 however, for 3-year LLB, CAP process commenced on June 30, 2025 at cetcell.mahacet.org. What is Option Entry Process for MAH CET LLB 2025?
During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.
Float option - If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.
Freeze option - Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

The MH CET Law merit list is a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for counseling based on their rank in the MH CET Law entrance exam. The merit list is prepared separately for MS (Maharashtra State), OMS (Other State / Outside Maharashtra State) candidates, Jammu & Kashmir Candidates and INR, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) or All India category candidature type, Foreign Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Indian Citizen (OIC) / Person of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates. Candidates cannot raise objections against the merit list.

How to Register for MHCET Law Counselling 2025?

Under MH CET Law CAP process, freeze option refers when candidates want to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.
Candidates can register for the MH CET Law 2025 CAP process for 3-year LLB until July 21, 2025. However the e-scrutiny of documents will be done until July 25, 2025. For the MH CET 5-year LLB, the CAP registration was open until July 18, 2025 and the e-scrutiny of documents will be done until July 21, 2025. After the e-scrutiny is done, the MAH CET Cell will release the merit list based on the scores and preferences given by the candidates. Selected candidates will then have the option to freeze of float their candidature from a particular round.
To register for the Maharashtra CET LLB 3-year result, follow the steps given below:
- Visit the official website of MH Law CET cetcell.mahacet.org
- Click on the 'Admission Portal AY 2025-26' on the MHCET LLB homepage
- A new page will open up, click on the 'LLB 3-year' tab
- Now, click on 'Candidate's Login' tab to register for the MH CET 3 year LLB counselling
- Fill in your registered email ID and password
- On the login page of Law MHCET, enter the required information & upload the necessary documents
- Select the preferred colleges for MH CET LLB 3-year admission and lock your details once you are done
- Take the printout of MH CET LLB 3-year registration form for future reference

If you are not satisfied with your seat allotment through the MH CET Law Counselling, you have two options:
1. Participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling: There are usually multiple rounds of counselling for MH CET Law. If you are not satisfied with your seat allotment in one round, you can participate in the next round and hope for a better seat.
2. Withdraw from counselling: If you are not satisfied with any of the seats that you are allotted, you can withdraw from counselling. However, you will have to pay a withdrawal fee.
