MH CET Law 2024

MH CET Law 2026: The state examination cell has released the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB exam date notification. The exam will be conducted tentatively on April 01, 2026 and April 02, 2026 for the 3-year LLB course. However, for the 5-year LLB program, the exam will be conducted tentatively on May 08, 2026. The MHCET Law 2026 notification was released on cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates will be able to apply for the Law CET Maharashtra 2026 entrance exam for both MH CET LLB 3-year and 5-year LLB online. The separate MH Law CET notification 2026 will be released for the registration window.

The Law MHCET 2026 exam will be conducted for admission to around 10,860 seats of 5-year LLB and 16,240 seats of 3-year LLB. Candidates will have to check the MH CET Law eligibility criteria 2026 before applying for the exam. Q:   When will the MH CET Law 2026 CAP registration will start?
A:

The registration process for the counselling started will begin online on the CET cell official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. The CAP process will be conducted for 3-year and 5-year LLB separately. Once the counselling registration will be over, the exam authority will release the MH CET Law merit lists. Candidates will be given option for choice filling during the CAP process.

Q:   When will MH CET Law 2026 application form be released?
A:

The MH CET Law application form 2026 for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB will be available tentatively in November 2025. The application forms for both types of law courses will be released online on the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra. 

CET Cell Maharashtra will also release the MH CET Law 2026 exam dates for 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB courses. The MH CET Law 2025 exam for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB is likely to be held in April 2026. 

Q:   Do I need to submit a category certificate while filling out the MH CET Law application form?
A:

Yes, candidates who belong to a reserved category must submit a category certificate at the time of filling out the MH CET Law application form. If they do not have this certificate, they must produce it with the help of the concerned regional authority. If reserved category candidates do not submit a category certificate while filling out an MHCET Law application form, their candidature will be considered under the general category or All India Open category. Consequently, they will not be able to leverage the benefits offered to reserved category candidates during the application process. 

Note: Candidates who have completed their graduation through Open University with preparatory examination can also apply for MH CET Law 2026 and participate in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission to 3-year LLB courses.

The exam date of notification of MAH CET LLB is published at cetcell.mahacet.org. This notification will be different from the exam notification. It includes the MH CET Law 2026 tentative exam dates for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB.

Q:   What documents are needed during MH CET Law application?
A:

Candidates who are aspiring to sit for the MH CET Law 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programme will have to submit the scanned the latest photograph and signature in the required format during the MHCET Law 2026 application process. However, they may also need to upload the category certificate, residencial proof and date of birth proof (class 10th certificate), etc.

Q:   Is MH CET Law 2026 application correction facility available?
A:

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will provide the application correction facilityn for the candidates who have already registered for MHCET Law 2026 but submitted a form with ceratin mistakes and erros. Candidates will be given an opportunity to correct or edit the below mentioned details in their already submitted application form:

  • Candidate's Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Gender

Along with this, MH CET Cell is also allowing candidates to complete the application form and pay the MH CET Law Registration Fee within this time who were unable to do it earlier.

Q:   How to edit MH CET Law 2026 application form?
A:

Candidates will be able to edit details in their MH CET Law 2026 application form using their own Login ID at the official MH CET Law website.

  • Visit the official website - portal.maharashtracet.org
  • Use LoginID and password to login
  • Click on edit MHCET Law application form
  • Do the changes required and save the form after duly checking

MH CET Law 2026 Candidature/ Category Types

Candidates also need to know the Law CET Maharashtra 2026 candidature or category type along with other MHCET Law eligibility criteria to mark their candidature type correctly in the Law MHCET application form. 

  • Open Category - Candidates who belong to general category in Maharashtra and all candidates outside Maharashtra.
  • SC / ST Category - Schedule Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates of Maharashtra state.
  • VJNTVimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes candidates of Maharashtra state.
  • SBC - Special backward class candidates of Maharashtra state.
  • Other backward castes category candidates of Maharashtra state.
  • Non Resident Indians/ Overseas Indian Citizen / Person of Indian Origin candidature type.
  • Jammu & Kashmir candidature type.
  • Ex-servicemen (wards' of ex-servicemen or defence force members) candidature type.

MH CET Law 2026 Application Form 

The Law CET Maharashtra application form 2026 for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB will be available on the website of MH CET Cell, cetcell.mahacet.org and portal.maharashtracet.org. The MH CET for Law 2026 registration cum application form will have to be filled out mandatorily to apply for the MH Law CET entrance exam.

  • Go to the website of CET Cell Maharashtra, cetcell.mahacet.org
  • Click on the CET Exam Portal tab. 
  • Click on 3-yr LLB/ 5-yr LLB tab (select the tab for the course for which you want to fill out the application form). 
  • Now register yourself for the exam.
  • Fill in your personal details and permanent address details.
  • Enter your email ID and mobile number for registration.
  • Generate a password and complete the registration process. 
  • Now, sign up again by entering your application number and password. 
  • Fill out the form and upload your passport size picture and a scanned copy of your signature. 
  • Pay the application fee, save and submit the MHCET Law application.

The MH CET Law admit card 2026 will be issued online to the registered candidates. Check out below how to download the MH CET Law admit card:

  • Go to the website of the Maharashtra CET Cell. 
  • Click on the "CET Examination Portal 2026-27" link for a five-year LLB.
  • A new webpage will be opened.
  • Login using your application number, date of birth and password generated during registration.
  • Click on the View/ Print Admit Card link. 
  • Download and save your 5-Year LLB admit card for MH CET Law.

MH CET Law Result

The result will be released on the website. To check, 

  • Go to the MAH CET Cell website, cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • Click on the tab of your relevant course.
  • Click on the Download Score Card tab. 
  • Enter your application number and date of birth.
  • Your score card will appear on the screen.
  • You can download the scorecard and take its multiple printouts for future reference.
