SLAT Syllabus 2026 - Symbiosis International University (SIU) does not releases the detailed syllabus about the SLAT exam on the official website. However, the exam weightage and pattern is provided for the SLAT 2026. Candidates can refer to the previous years question papers for an exact idea about the syllabus of SLAT 2026 for each subject. The expected syllabus of SLAT has been provided on the page below, which can help candidates to know and understand the important topics related to the SLAT syllabus. The question paper of SLAT 2026 will be based on five main subjects i.e. Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Check here SLAT 2026 syllabus topics, section-wise weightage as well as books to refer for SLAT 2026 preparation.

Q:   Which is the most difficult section of SLAT?
A:

The most difficult section of SLAT cannot be specified because the difficulty level of a subject or exam section is different for all candidates. For example, some candidates have expertise in Logical Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning. Thus, these two sections of the SLAT exam will be easier for them than other exam sections. It can be said that the difficulty level of a SLAT section for a candidate is based on his or her expertise in it. If we analyze the sectional difficulty for SLAT based on the patterns of question papers from previous years, General Knowledge is the most difficult section because questions in this section can be asked from anywhere from static GK topics to current affairs.

Q:   What is the syllabus for the SLAT entrance exam?
A:

The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Authority, the conducting body of the SLAT exam, does not provide a detailed syllabus for it. However, it provides the details of the sections from which questions are asked in the entrance exam. These sections are Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, General English and General Knowledge. From each sections 12 questions are asked in the exam. Each question carries one mark and does not have any penalties for a wrong answer. Thus, the total marks for the SLAT exam are 60, which are scaled down to 50.

Q:   From where can I download the SLAT syllabus?
A:

The SLAT syllabus is not available for download because the SET exam authority does not provide any details other than the exam sections related to the SLAT syllabus. Aspirants who want to appear in SLAT can refer to the syllabus of other law entrance exams similar to SLAT to get an idea of the topics associated with the SLAT syllabus. They can check the CLAT syllabus because the CLAT exam pattern is similar to the SLAT exam pattern. CLAT is tougher than SLAT. Thus, if SLAT applicants prepare according to the CLAT syllabus, they will be able to crack the SLAT exam.

Q:   How many hours do I need to study to crack SLAT?
A:

There is no fixed limit to how many hours you need to devote to SLAT preparation. This is because every person has a different learning pace. Some may have strong analytical backgrounds, and the analytical section may look like a cakewalk to them, but they may get stuck in comprehension. Therefore, you need to first understand your strengths and weaknesses to make a proper schedule. You should give more time to practicing and studying those topics that are unknown to you and less time to those that you know very well. On average, it takes 6 to 8 hours, depending on how many months are left for the exam. If SLAT is six months away, then four hours is sufficient, but if it is next month, then you need to study for at least eight hours.

Q:   From where can I download the SLAT syllabus?
A:

The SLAT syllabus is not available for download because the SET exam authority does not provide any details other than the exam sections related to the SLAT syllabus.
