Commonly asked questions
Q:   Is it possible for me to get admission to a top law college based on my SLAT scores?
A:

Yes, candidates can get admission to four law colleges or schools at Symbiosis International University based on their SLAT scores. These law schools are Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Noida, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad. These four Symbiosis Law Schools are among the top law colleges in India. Other colleges do not accept SLAT scores. If a candidate wants to take a law entrance exam based on which he or she can apply to multiple law colleges, he or she can take the CLAT or LSAT-India. The scores of the two law entrance exams are accepted by many law colleges for admission.

Q:   How can I download the question papers from previous years for the SLAT exam?
A:

The question papers of the SLAT exam conducted in previous years cannot be downloaded because the SET exam authority does not release SLAT question papers. However, there are other resources that SLAT aspirants can use to get insights about SLAT question papers from previous years. These resources are practise sets and mock tests available in the books dedicated to SLAT preparation. Some of these books also contain the SLAT question papers from previous years. Commonly asked questions
Q:   When will SLAT 2026 Counselling start?
A:

The SLAT 2026 Counselling will be conducted by the SLS separetly. The SLS will conduct the counselling based on the score of candidates in SLAT Exam. Candidates can check the SLAT Counselling Schedule by visiting their website.

Q:   What is a good score on SLAT exam?
A:

Getting 45 or more marks in SLAT is mostly seen as a good score. It gives you a better chance of getting into a top Symbiosis Law School. If you're aiming for SLS Pune, the most competitive one, try to score around 48–52 marks. A score above 40 is still decent and can keep you in the race. The cutoffs change from one campus to another. SLS Noida usually needs around 42–47 marks, SLS Hyderabad about 38–44, and SLS Nagpur close to 36–41 marks.

Q:   Can I get admission to SLS Pune without SLAT scores?
A:
No, candidates cannot get admission to SLS Pune and the other three SLSs, namely, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur, without appearing in the SLAT exam. The four law schools of Symbiosis International University do not accept any other law entrance exams for admission to BA LLB, BA LLB (Hons. ), BBA LLB, and BBA LLB (Hons. ). Thus, to get admission to undergraduate law courses offered by SLSs, candidates will have to appear in the SLAT exam, which is followed by Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview (PI). Admissions to SLSs are based on the collective scores of SLAT, What, and PI. Candidates need to know that there will not be provision for the rechecking of the results of SLAT 2023. The option of raising objections against SLAT answer keys is not available because the SET exam authority does not release answer keys for the exam.

Many people think it's ahead of some low-tier NLUs (Tier 2 or Tier 3). But the top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru or NLU Delhi st

SLAT preparation is easy. Create a proper schedule to prepare for the exam on a daily basis. Allot more time to practicing and studying law topics. It takes 6 to 8 hours of revision if you make a section-wise plan. This entrance is comparatively easy to other top law entrances.
