FTII JET Entrance Exam
The Film and Television Institute of India has released FTII JET 2025 cut off for each offered course in TV and Film Wing. Students who applied and appeared for FTII JET entrance exam can now download the cut off PDF on the official website. Along with cut off list, the institute has also shared a Google Form Link which needs to be filled and submitted by FTII applicants by January 30, 2026. Candidates who will submit the form before the last date can know their JET score 2025 for Paper-I, Paper-II, Stage-1 and Stage-2. They will also get the status of their document verification to finalize their admission at Film and Television Institute of India.

Freeze option means that candidate accepts the offered seat and don't want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.

What is FTII JET Exam?
The Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET) is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted annually. FTII JET is conducted either by FTII Pune or SRFTI Kolkata to shortlist students for admissions offered by these two institutes. The admission of shortlisted candidates is done into two wings - Film and TV for postgraduate and post-graduate diploma courses.
There are two wings in FTII -
Film Wing: Where candidates are given admission into courses such as direction & screenplay, writing, editing, acting, cinematography, feature film screenplay writing, sound designing and recording, and art direction & production design.
Television wing: Where admission is given to candidates into courses such as directions, electronic cinematography, sound recording & television engineering, and video editing.

FTII Entrance Exam 2025 Eligibility
The exam body sets the eligibility criteria for the various programmes offered through FTII JET. Aspirants who wish to be admitted into the premier filmmaking institutes in India must meet the minimum eligibility criteria. As per the eligibility criteria of FTII JET, aspirants must be above 21 years of age.

The application form for FTII JET was released online on the institute's official website on 15 June 2025. Aspirants had to fill in the application form before the last date to appear in the exam. FTII JET 2025 Exam Pattern
To qualify for any entrance exam, and not just the FTII JET, candidates need to refer to the exam pattern to understand the sections, time duration, and marking scheme of the exam. The FTII JET exam is conducted in offline (pen-paper) mode. The FTII JET question paper for Stage 1 has two parts: Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I: (Multiple Choice Questions)

FTII JET 2025 Syllabus
Along with the exam pattern of FTII JET candidates are also advised to check the FTII JET syllabus. It consists of topics like Art & craft of Film & TV, Allied Arts, Literature, General Awareness, Environmental Awareness, General Knowledge related to Art and culture and Media, etc for Part A of Paper I and in Part B of Paper I specific questions are asked. Paper II is subjective and it includes long descriptive questions, questions (including sketches, photographs, etc.), and short note questions based on the subject.
FTII JET 2025 Admit Card
The FTII JET admit card is issued by the exam conducting authority to all the aspirants who have successfully submitted the application form. For 2025 admission, candidates could download their FTII JET admit card 2025 for the Stage 1 exam between 21 July 2025 and 26 July 2025. For the Stage 2 exam, candidates who qualified the first stage were able to take the exam between 26 September 2025 and 11 October 2025.
FTII Entrance Exam 2025 Result
The exam conducting authority has declared the FTII JET 2025 results on its official website. The Film and Television Institute of India has released a merit list, including roll number, name, category, and final score of the selected candidates. Those who appeared for the FTII JET Stage 1 exam on 27 July 2025 and Stage 2 exam between 26 September 2025 and 11 October 2025 can check their result by visiting ftii.ac.in/announcement. The merit list has been released as a PDF.
At first, FTII released the merit list on 17 October 2025. However, after receiving complaints from the Students' Association over discrepancies in the result related to the reservation policy, the institute released the FTII JET revised final merit list on 24 October 2025.
Eligible candidates with their names in the FTII 2025 merit list can confirm their seat by paying the Seat Acceptance Fee of INR 50,000 by 10 November 2025. The payment can be made through the SB-Collect Portal/Link. The institute will inform the last date to pay the balance course fee along with charges on the official website.
The FTII JET counselling will start after the results are declared. FTII will release the counselling schedule on its official website for all courses and students will have to appear in the counselling process. During the counselling process, they will have to bring all their original documents as per their educational qualifications.
During the counselling session of the Film and Television Institute of India, candidates will have to carry all their original certificates and semester-wise mark sheets. Candidates must also ensure that they don't submit any of their original documents to anyone, these documents are just for verification purpose.
FTII JET Cut Off 2025
The Film and Television Institute of India has released cut off marks for FTII JET entrance exam 2025 on its official website. Candidates can download the FTII JET Cut Off PDF from the direct link given below. The cut off list includes category wise cut off marks for FTII JET Paper 1 and Stage 1 for each offered course through entrance exam.
FTII Entrance Exam 2025 Counselling
As the FTII JET 2025 result has been released, the institute has started the admission process. The FTII JET Counselling process schedule will be released on the official website. Selected candidates must reach the allotted venue at the given time for the FTII JET counselling 2025 and the further admission process. The process will be further followed by a Medical Test and Document Verification of the candidate, which leads to the final selection of them into the courses.
FTII - Facilities and Infrastructure
The FTII, Pune campus is extremely equipped for the students of the various filmmaking courses. The campus has an elaborate book and video library called Gajanan Jagirdar Library. It is extremely helpful for filmmaking students to have such an elaborate bank of films, videos, CDs, DVDs, tapes, cassettes, etc. at their disposal. The institute also provided screening facilities for students. The campus has a main theatre, a classroom theatre and a preview theatre. Their IT infrastructure caters to the hardware, internet, and other multimedia needs. They have a 200 TB institute cloud to store the works of their students and other media.
