FTII JET Paper 1 Weightage
The FTII JET question paper for Stage 1 (Paper 1) includes 30 questions from Film, TV, Media, Literature, Environmental Awareness and Art. As per FTII JET admission prospectus, the overall weightage of FTII JET Stage 1, including Paper 1 & Paper 2 is 30%. So, candidates preparing for JET entrance exam must prepare thoroughly for Paper I. Besides, a candidate will be eligible to appear for FTII JET Stage 2 exam only if they pass Stage 1 exam, i.e., the combined score of Paper I & Paper II. Once Stage 2 is also over, FTII will release the merit list based on which selected candidates can secure a seat for the target courses at FTII.

The Film and Television of Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET) is conducted in offline i.e. pen and paper mode. The question and answer booklet will be distributed to the candidate at least 10 minutes before the commencement of exam. The question paper will be MCQ-based and candidates will have to mark the correct option in the answer booklet.
As per the official notification date of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) the syllabus consists of topics such as Art & craft of Film & TV, Allied Arts, Literature, General Awareness, Environmental Awareness, General Knowledge related to Art & Culture and Media etc. Candidates preparing for the FTII JET exam need to start their preparation in advance and cover the these topics before the exam is scheduled.
According to the official brochure released by Film and Television Institute of India the question papert consists of two MCQ sections. Part A consists of 20 marks and Part B consists of 30 marks. Candidates need to attempt all the questions. There will be two papers - Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 will be divided into two parts A & B. Part A will be single answer type consisting of 20 marks and Part B will MCQ based of again 20 marks. The paper 2 will be descriptive in nature and will be of 60 marks.

The FTII JET exam total marks are 100 marks. In Part A of Paper I: one mark is awarded to each right question and 0.25 is deducted on the wrong answer. In Part B of Paper I: two marks are awarded to each right question. However, the questions may have one or more right answers, so candidates need to select all the correct options, failing which they will be given partial marks. This part also has the provision of negative marking.
Yes according to the exam pattern of the Film and Television Institute of India, there is negative marking in the exam. As part of the negative marking, -0.25 marks alloted to the question in Paper I of FTII JET will be deducted. The paper 1 will be objective type in nature hence candidates must mke their answer choices wisely.
According to the official notification of the Film and Television Institute of India, the FTII JET question paper will have two sections for Film Wing courses while there will be three sections for the Television Wing. No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.
