FTII JET 2025 Syllabus: The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) prescribes the FTII JET syllabus. The FTII JET 2025 syllabus is published in the annual notification/brochure of the exam. FTII JET Exam 2025 Syllabus
FTII JET exam basically evaluates aspirants based on their aptitude in Film and TV. To understand the FTII JET syllabus well, aspiring students must be aware of the pattern of this exam. The admission process of the FTII JET entrance exam includes two stages: Stage 1 (Written Test) and Stage II (Mixed Format Assessment-Practical, Analytical, Performance & Interaction). The Stage 1 exam further consists of two sections: Section I (Objective) and Section II (Subjective).
The FTII JET question paper for Stage 1 includes 30 questions in paper I for 2 mark each, and subjective questions of total 40 marks. The FTII JET paper includes questions about Film & TV, Arts & Crafts, Allied Arts, Literature, Environmental Awareness, General Knowledge, and General Awareness. The paper assess a candidate's knowledge related to the course and specialization selected.

FTII JET Descriptive Syllabus
In this paper, questions will be asked based on sketches, photographs, etc. Besides that, short note questions will also be asked which may include subject questions. Candidates are required to prepare topics based on the subjects they are applying for.

The Film and Television of Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET) is conducted in offline i.e. pen and paper mode. The question and answer booklet will be distributed to the candidate at least 10 minutes before the commencement of exam. The FTII JET Stage 1 exam has two papers. Paper 1 includes multiple choice question and paper 2 includes descriptive questions. In second part of FTII JET Satge 1 question paper, candidates will have to answer questions in short notes and describe the given sketches and photographs.
Once the application form is submitted, the candidate cannot change the exam center at any stage. The change of examination center will be entirely at the discretion of the exam conducting authority and the candidates will be liable to follow the instructions.

On clearing the Joint Entrance Test (JET), students can get admission into Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as well as the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of India (SRFTI). These two premiere institutes are the conducting body of FTII JET as well. Candidates who qualify in this exam will be eligibile to take up film making related courses in either of the two institutes.
The Paper-I of all the eligible appeared candidates is evaluated. On the basis of the performance in Paper-I, Paper-II (JET exam) is evaluated of only selected number of top scoring candidates (based on the respective category). The roll numbers of the candidates shortlisted for the evaluation of Paper-II, will be published on the website of JET. Further the shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview and orientation process.
