Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the computer-based entrance test held for Class 12 passed candidates for admission in BTech and Integrated BSc-MSc courses. Candidates have to contact the authorities of Amrita University in case they enter invalid email id in their AEEE application form. The candidates are advised to have their own personal and valid email ID and mobile number. Candidates are advised to retain the registered mobile number and email-id they have submitted in the application form till all the admission procedures are completed as all important updates will be informed to the candidates through SMS/e-mail or both. Candidates can apply for AEEE online on the official website, amrita.edu. The application form must be submitted as per the deadline for each phase. 

AEEE is usually rated moderate as compared to exams like JEE and BITSAT. However, the candidates must have class 11 and class 12 concepts clear as the questions in the exam come from class 11 and 12 syllabus. Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the computer-based entrance test held for 10+2 passed candidates for admission in BTech courses offered by Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham. The AEEE 2026 application forms have been released on the official website, aeee.amrita.edu. The last date to apply for phase 1 exams is January 15. Candidates who will register for Phase 1 exams and wish to appear for Phase 2 exams too will not need to register again for Phase 2 again. However, such candidates have to pay INR 600 to appear for phase 2 exams. 

The AEEE 2026 application form for phase 1 and phase 2 is out. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form, and more than one application, i.e. multiple applications from a candidate, may get rejected. Candidates' names and their parents' names in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in the Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Col etc. should not be used.  The candidates are advised not to send the hard copy of the online application to the university. However, the candidates are advised to retain a hard copy of the application, i.e. acknowledgement page, for future reference or correspondence.

Admission to BTech Programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering is through and based on the rank scored in JEE Main and AEEE. 70% of the seats are allotted via AEEE scores and the rest of the 30% of seats are filled based on JEE Main ranks. The AEEE is a fairly easy exam as compared to JEE main / Advanced or any other all India entrance test. There are no intructions regarding the type of print out needed at the exam hall of AEEE. Thus candidates can carry wither black and white or a coloured one. In case of errors in the details of AEEE admit card, candidates have to contact the AEEE authorities.  Note that, AEEE admit card to write the examination is generated only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application form complete in all respects. Note that without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to write the exam. Candidates must have the admit card with them if they wish to appear for the CBT. The admit card is to be shown at the exam hall when demanded by the invigilator for verification and identification.

AEEE 2026 result for phase 1 will be out in February 2026, tenatively. AEEE 2026 phase 1 and phase 2 results will be declared separately on the official website. The AEEE 2026 phase 2 result will be released in May 2026, tentatively. Candidates who appear for more than one phase must note that their best score out of all the phases is considered for admission.

As per note from the campus: Tuition fee waiver ranging from 90% to 25 % is awarded to the students, based on their rank at the time of admission counselling. Scholarship seats are earmarked in each branch in each campus. A total of 300+ candidates are eligible for scholarship at the time of admission and continuation of scholarship in subsequent years would require meeting the minimum required CGPA during subsequent years of study.

Admission to the Mechanical engineering department on the Coimbatore campus is based on the AEEE rank secured by the candidate and also the state from which the candidate hails. A Tamil Nadu candidate has a good chance of getting into Mechanical Engineering if he or she has a 6000 in the AEEE, however, the same is not valid for the other state candidates. No, candidates cannot request for revaluation or rechecking of AEEE result. A fully reliable system is being used for evaluation of answers marked by the candidates in AEEE CBT exam. Hence the scoring is almost perfect and there are less or no chances of mistaked in the evaluation process.  Thus, there is no provision for revaluation or rechecking in AEEE as the evaluation or scoring will be error-free. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
