Osmania University is set to open registrations for the Common Post-Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET) 2025, the central gateway for admission to a wide range of postgraduate, PG diploma, and integrated programmes (e.g., M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, M.P.Ed, MBA). The application window is likely to begin soon and will remain open until mid July, 2025.

CPGET Application Window
The application window will remain open until third week of July, 2025, with provisions for late submissions with additional fees of ₹500 and ₹2,000. The entrance exams are expected to be conducted in July or early August, with admit cards likely to be released in the first week of July. The application process is entirely online and must be completed on the official CPGET portal.
Candidates will need to upload documents such as a recent photograph, signature, caste or EWS certificate, educational qualifications, and identity proof like Aadhar.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed their undergraduate degree with a minimum of 40% marks. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories are exempted from the minimum score requirement. There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to CPGET 2025. The application fee is ₹800 per subject for General and OBC candidates, and ₹600 for SC, ST, and PH candidates. An additional fee of ₹450 will be charged for each extra subject opted for.
The test will be conducted in computer-based mode, lasting 90 minutes and consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. A qualifying mark of 25% is required for OC, EWS, and BC candidates, while SC and ST applicants have no minimum qualifying score.
The CPGET score will be used for seat allotments in multiple state universities including Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, JNTU Hyderabad, Satavahana University, Palamuru University, and Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalayam.
Following the exam, a correction window is expected in August for candidates who wish to rectify errors in their applications. Counselling for admissions will begin soon after the results are declared. Applicants are advised to begin collecting necessary documents and preparing for the exam as per the syllabus outlined by Osmania University. The entrance test continues to be a key opportunity for thousands of students seeking higher education across Telangana’s public universities.
