RRB NTPC Exam Analysis 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct the RRB NTPC Graduate posts exam for CEN No. 06/2025 from March 16 to 27, 2026. It will be conducted at several centres across the country. Railway Recruitment Boards prescribes the Railway NTPC exam pattern for different stages of recruitment process. The exam pattern is different for Graduate and Undergraduate posts. The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is held for 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe). The questions are based on General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam is held for 100 marks.

Q:   What is the duration of RRB NTPC CBT 2 exam?

RRB NTPC Cut Off 2026

The  Board released RRB NTPC UG cut off 2026 (CEN No. 06/2024) on January 23. The CBT 2 RRB NTPC UG exam was conducted on December 20. The cut off for CBT 2 was calculated out of 100 marks. Besides RRB NTPC cut off marks, candidates were also required to secure the qualifying marks in the CBT 2 exam. The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure in order to qualify the exam. It is released along with the result. The cutoffs are different for different zones. It is calculated based on the normalisation.

Q:   What is RRB NTPC cut off?
A: 

RRB NTPC cut off is the minimum qualifying that candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. The examination authority releases both sectional and overall cut off marks. The cut off marks are released category-wise and state-wise. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are selected for the next round of selection.

Q:   How normalisation affects RRB NTPC cut off?
A: 

RRB NTPC cut off is calculated based on the normalised scores. This process is followed to adjust the difficulty level of questions since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The scores are normalised using the equi-percentile method. For eg: If the negative marking is 1/3 and candidates have answered 80 questions, out of which 12 were wrong, then the raw score will be 80-12-12 * (1/3) = 64. Therefore, 64 is the raw score.
