
AP EdCET 2026: Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has released the AP EdCET exam Dates. The exam will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, on May 4, 2026. Candidates who wish to get admission in the 2-year regular BEd course across the state can get admission by clearing the AP EdCET exam. The candidates also seek admission in the special education programme in colleges across Andhra Pradesh. This AP EdCET will be conducted in online mode across the designated exam centres.

What is APEdCET?
APEdCET means Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test. It’s an exam for people who want to become teachers in Andhra Pradesh. You write this test if you wish to join BEd course in colleges across the state. The test is done by Andhra University, on behalf of APSCHE. It checks how much you know about teaching, learning, and general knowledge things. You need to pass APEdCET to get admission into BEd programs.
Anyone who finished their degree from a recognized university can apply. The exam has questions from subjects like English, Telugu, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. It’s usually held once every year. APEdCET helps you start your career in teaching. After passing, you can join BEd and later become a teacher in schools. If you want to be a teacher in Andhra Pradesh, APEdCET is the first step.

APEdCET Eligibility 2026
The candidates must fulfill the APEdCET 2026 eligibility criteria:
- Are Indian nationals
- Fulfill Local/Non-Local status requirements as stated in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974, as subsequently amended.

Educational Qualification
- Candidate should have secured at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree, i.e., BA/BSc/BCom/BSc(Home Science/BCA/BBM/or in the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However, candidates belonging to all other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
Note:- The Candidates with BE/BTech should have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Age Limit
- Must have completed 19 years of age as of July 1 of the year in which the exam notification has been issued. There is no maximum age limit.
Note: The candidates who passed BE/ BTech with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and studied Mathematics and Physics are eligible for admission into the course.

APEdCET Admission Process 2026
The APEdCET 2026 admission process is for students who want to join BEd courses in Andhra Pradesh. It happens step by step, starting from the registering for APEdCET then getting the confirmed admission.
Notification & Registration
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) releases the official notification. You fill out the online form on the official website, upload documents, and pay the application form fee.
Admit Card
After applying, you can download the AP EdCET admit card before the exam date. It has your exam center, time, and roll number details.
Exam Day
The D-day is here. Reach the location, complete the verification, and take the AP EdCET test.

APEdCET Application Form 2026
The exam conducting body starts the application form filling process tentatively in March-April. The notification is released with the official exam conducting body, website, and the timeline in April (can change depending on).
The candidate has to complete the AP EdCET application process in three main phases.
Registration:
- The candidate can start the process by visiting the official website for Andhra Pradesh EdCET.
- They are required to register themselves as a new candidate.
- For AP EdCET form-filling login, the user ID and the password are required, which will be created with this process.
- Candidate will also get an email from the official email ID. The mail will include the login credentials that they can use to finally start the application form-filling process.
Fill the Application Form:
- Use the emailed login credentials to fill out the form.
- Enter all the important details like their name, their Date of Birth, Nationality, and educational qualifications.
- Upload the documents in the size they’re being asked.
- Double-check before submitting the AP EdCET application form.
Fee Payment:
The application form submission isn’t successful without the fee payment. Candidates have to pay the AP EdCET application form fee using the online payment mode.
