RIE CEE Result 2026: The NCERT conducts the RIE CEE exam annually in July. This entrance exam is held to shortlist the candidates for the BEd course at the respective RIEs. Once you have given, here are the main events related to the RIE CEE Results 2026.

The results for all three groups are announced separately, approximately 30-40 days after the RIE CEE exam, through the official result link. Candidates can check their results online according to their respective groups. The RIE CEE results are published only on the official website, and no scorecards are sent via email or post. Selection process followed by RIEs is explained below:

For admission to BSc BEd, BA BEd, MSc Ed, BEd, and MEd programs, 60% weightage is assigned to entrance exam marks and 40% to aggregate scores. The method of calculating aggregate scores differs for each course — BSc BEd and MSc Ed, BA BEd, BEd, and MEd. Detailed information about this can be found in the “Aggregate Score Definition” section.

In case two or more candidates secure the same total marks, the tie will first be resolved based on the Teaching Aptitude Test scores. If the tie persists, preference will be given to the older candidate. The merit list will display marks up to three decimal places, rounded off accordingly.

According to the official prospectus, RIEs will reserve one additional seat each for the BSc BEd and BA BEd programs. Additionally, RIE Mysore will reserve one extra seat each for MSc Ed (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) for NTSE award winners.

Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in 2024 or 2025, or are appearing/appeared in 2026, are eligible to apply for BSc BEd, BA BEd, or MSc Ed. There is no restriction on the year of passing for candidates applying to BEd and MEd programs.

Aggregate Score Definition for RIE CEE Exam

As per the official website, given below are the proper meanings for the scores as per the programmes:

  • For BSc BEd and MScEd: Obtained marks of PCM or PCB out of the maximum marks of PCM/PCB in the qualifying examination.
  • For BA BEd obtained total marks of the qualifying examination out of the maximum marks of the qualifying examination.
  • For BEd obtained total marks of qualifying degree examination out of the maximum marks of the qualifying degree examination
  • For MEd obtained total marks of qualifying examination out of the maximum marks of the qualifying examination. If the qualifying examination is BSc Ed/BSc BEd/BA Ed/BA BEd. Only the obtained total marks of professional components (BEd) out of the maximum marks in these components.

What After RIE CEE Result 2026

After the result, the RIE CEE Counselling process will be held. The RIE CEE Counselling schedule is yet to be announced by the exam conducting body on the official website of the exam. All the qualifying candidates are allotted seats in their respective courses through RIE CEE counselling. Counselling for admission to all courses (BSc BEd, BA BEd, MSc Ed, BEd, MEd, and integrated BEd MEd) is conducted at the respective RIEs.

What Happens in RIE CEE Counselling after Result Declaration?

Candidates who have cleared the RIE CEE exam will be eligible for the counselling process. Every Regional Institute of Education releases a list of waiting and shortlisted students for various courses. Based on the schedule, the candidates have to report to the campus with their documents and the fees to confirm the admission. The round is conducted till the seats are filled.

RIE CEE 2026 Results: Seat Allotment for Reserved Category

Candidates applying under these categories for RIE CEE 2026 counselling and admissions must provide valid certificates issued by the competent authority in the Government of India–approved format. OBC candidates specifically need to submit a certificate confirming that they do not belong to the Creamy Layer.

  • For the Hyderabad-Karnataka reservation under the Karnataka quota, the required data will be captured and forwarded to RIE Mysuru for processing.

  • Special provisions are available:

    • Each RIE will provide one supernumerary seat in the BSc BEd and BA BEd courses.

    • RIE Mysuru will also provide one additional seat each in MSc Ed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

    • RIE Bhopal will allot one additional seat in the BEd MEd integrated course.

    • These seats are reserved for NTSE awardees and Tibetan candidates, who must still appear for the RIE CEE 2026 entrance exam to be considered.

Reservation Percentage

As per the Government of India norms, the RIE CEE 2026 results and admission process will follow the reservation policy for candidates belonging to specific categories. Seats are reserved with relaxed eligibility criteria for the following categories:

  • SC (Scheduled Caste): 15%

  • ST (Scheduled Tribe): 7.5%

  • OBC (Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer): 27%

  • PwD (Persons with Disabilities): 5%

  • EWS (Economically Weaker Section): 10%

RIE CEE 2026 Scholarships

After the announcement of the RIE CEE 2026 result, scholarships will be provided to eligible candidates to encourage academic excellence:

  • All SC and ST candidates admitted through RIE CEE 2026 will receive scholarships.

  • 50% of the remaining admitted candidates will also be awarded scholarships on a merit-cum-means basis.

  • Scholarships will be granted only to candidates who submit a copy of their parents’ income certificate.

  • A hostel stay is mandatory, as per the NCERT scholarship rules, to be eligible for the benefits.
