BSc Nursing Admissions 2026-27: The Bachelor of Science in the Nursing Stream is an important educational milestone. The BSc Nursing exam is conducted separately by each state exam-conducting body. Each state has its own exam-conducting body, such as the Examination Board, Nursing Council and designated Universities. In addition to these, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences conduct the AIIMS Nursing exam for the BSc and MSc courses.
It is the first stage in pursuing higher studies in nursing, such as MSc Nursing, followed by M.Phil and PHD.
The candidates are required to apply for the desired Nursing exam separately. Each state has its own application process and exam dates. But the eligibility criteria for all the B.Sc Nursing admissions are 10+2 from a recognised board.
The AIIMS Nursing 2026 exam will be conducted on June 27 at all the AIIMS campuses and other allotted exam centres. It is the only BSc Nursing exam which is conducted nationwide.

BSc Nursing Entrance Exams 2026: Eligibility Conditions
The candidates can see below the most common eligibility conditions for the Nursing Exams
- Minimum Age - 17 years
- Maximum Age - 35 years in most of the exams.
- Candidates should have passed class 12 with Physics, Biology, English, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects to apply for BSc nursing admission

Candidates should have attained a minimum of 17 years to appear for the JENPAS UG exam. Thye must not be older than 35 years. The applicant must be 17 years of age as on 31.12.2026. The upper age limit for the BVSO programme is 40 years.
The AIIMS Nursing Post Basic exam admit card was released on May 25 and it will be conducted on May 30.

BSc Nursing Admission Process 2026
Most of the BSc Nursing applications are filled online only. The candidates need to fill the applications, pay the fee, appear in the exam and attend the Counselling (when called) to take admission. The candidates can see these details below:
Application Form: Nursing exam aspirants need to register for the exam and fill the application form online. The candidates will get around 20 days to over a month to fill the form.
Download the Admit card: After the submission of application forms and paying the application fee, the admit card will be issued to the candidates.
Appear for the entrance exam: It is necessary to appear for the entrance exam. Failing to appear at the test centre will lead to the cancellation of admission.
Wait for Result Declaration: After the BSc nursing exam concludes, the competent authority will release the result based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance.
Check the Cut-off list: The conducting body will release the cut-off list, which is the minimum qualifying marks. Those candidates who fulfil the requirements will be called for further rounds of selection.
Participate in Counselling: Based on the merit list, the counselling process for BSc Nursing will be conducted. Some colleges will conduct the counselling process in an online mode, for which a counselling participation fee will be charged.
Check the Seat allotment Result: Based on the candidate's rank or merit, seats will be allotted. It will also depend on the choices filled at the time of the choice-filling and locking process.
Reporting to the allotted college: After seat allotment, it is mandatory to report to the institute within the stipulated deadline to further the admission process.

IIMS MSc Nursing 2025 test centres are decided by the exam conducting body, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The list of AIIMS MSc. Nursing test centres are released by the AIIMS Delhi at the official website.
