The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the 21st Edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on February 7, 2026. The exam was held in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Q:   Who sets the CTET question paper?
A: 
The CTET Unit of the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE Sets the CTET question paper every year. The CTET exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET exam pattern lays down the structure of both papers including the number of questions asked in the exam, the marking scheme and the name of the subjects.
Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt questions from both the languages of the CTET paper?
A: 

Candidates need to solve the questions from both the languages in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. There are a 30 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each in the language sections.

No, you cannot attempt the CTET mock test offline. You need to attempt the mock test online itself. The CBSE does not allow candidates to download the CTET mock test. Candidates need to give the test online by entering the system-generated login credentials.
Q:   Which is the most scoring section in the CTET exam?
A: 
CTET exam contains almost equal number of questions from each section. Each question carries one mark. So, in general terms, all the sections are scoring if candidates have prepared well. However, as per the candidates' feedback shared in the past, the most scoring section in the CTET exam is Child Development & Pedagogy.
Q:   How can I get CTET mock test?
A: 

Candidates can attempt the CTET mock test by visiting the Shiksha.com website. The CTET mock tests are available for free here. The CTET mock test cannot be downloaded, however, can be attempted online. The Shiksha-curated mock tests are available separately for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates can practice these mock tests without any difficulty.

According to the NCTE notification, candidates require 60% or more to pass the CTET examination. The minimum marks required by a candidate being a General category to qualify the CTET exam is 90 out of 150 and for SC, ST, OBC and PwD is 82 out of 150.

Yes, it is possible for a candidate to clear CTET exam in three months. All is required a dedicated and disciplined approach. Clear understanding of the syllabus and pattern of an exam. Frequent revision, practice and strategize the preparation.
