The CTET exam is conducted for two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates usually find the Mathematics section a little time taking. Moreover, many candidates find the Reading Comprehension questions of the CTET exam also lengthy.

Q:   Which subject holds maximum weightage in CTET exam?
A: 
Almost all the sections of the CTET exam hold equal weightage. In CTET Paper 1, all subjects including Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies hold equal weightage. However, in CTET Paper 2, the Mathematics & Science and Social Studies/Social Science section holds maximum weightage of 60 marks.

Candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks are considered CTET pass. Those who get over and above the set marks are considered good scorers. Hence, scoring 120 marks in the CTET exam is good.

Q:   What is a good rank in CTET exam?
A: 

As per the CTET exam process, there is no rank criteria in the examination. Candidates only need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to clear the exam and get the eligibility certificate. The CTET passing marks or qualifying marks are 90 for general category and 82 for SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates.

Q:   What is the highest score in CTET?
A: 

150 is the maximum CTET score. There are 150 total marks in the CTET 2024 exam. As there is no negative marking, obtaining all 150 marks is regarded as the exam's the highest result. However, a candidate from the General category must receive at least 60% of the possible points in order to be eligible for the CTET exam. To pass the exam, applicants from reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and OBC, must receive a grade of at least 55%.

You can start CTET preparation by thoroughly going through the CTET exam pattern and CTET syllabus. The CTET exam pattern makes candidates familiar with the structure of question paper. On the other hand, CTET syllabus makes candidates aware of the topics from which questions are asked in the exam. According to the NCTE notification, candidates require 60% or more to pass the CTET examination. The minimum marks required by a candidate being a General category to qualify the CTET exam is 90 out of 150 and for SC, ST, OBC and PwD is 82 out of 150.

Yes, it is possible for a candidate to clear CTET exam in three months. All is required a dedicated and disciplined approach. Clear understanding of the syllabus and pattern of an exam. Frequent revision, practice and strategize the preparation.
