The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts Paper 2 of the CTET exam based on the official syllabus and exam pattern. The CTET Paper 2 syllabus comprises Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences. There are a total of 30 questions from CTET Maths Paper 2.

As per the CBSE CTET mathematics syllabus, 20 questions are from content such as algebra, arithmetic, geometry, fractions, ratio and proportion, trigonometry, mensuration, etc., and 10 questions are on pedagogical issues such as nature of Mathematics, evaluation, remedial teaching, problem of teaching maths, etc.

Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt questions from both the languages of the CTET paper?
A:

Candidates need to attempt the questions from both languages in the CTET exam. The CTET Language-I and Language-II sections are compulsory in nature. Each Language section carries 30 marks and 30 multiple choice questions (MCQs).

Q:   What is the format of CTET Question Papers?
A:

The CTET question paper is available as a test booklet during the exam. The question paper contains the multiple choice questions in two languages- Hindi/ English and the language chosen by the candidate. There will be a total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the paper. Each question will have four different options. Candidates need to answer the most appropriate option in the exam.

A:
The CTET Unit of the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE Sets the CTET question paper every year. The CTET exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Yes, you can apply for CTET Paper 1 only if you make sure that you meet the minimum teacher education requirement for Classes 1 to 5.
