Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organises the RRB CWE Exam every year for the recruitment to the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The exam is conducted online. IBPS is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination is conducted in two phases i.e. preliminary and mains. For the post of Officers Scale 1, the exam is conducted in three phases-prelims , mains and interview. For the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3, the exam is conducted in two phases single online exam and interview. In recent years, the level of competition for IBPS RRB exams has spurt exponentially. IBPS RRB Clerk selection process comprises prelims and mains exams. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. The final selection of candidates is done based on the mains exam.

IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern 2024 is divided into prelims and mains exams. The prelims exam carries 80 marks. The mains exam carries 200 marks. There are negative markings in both prelims and mains exams. For the wrong answer, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question are deducted as a penalty.
