Tripura TET eligibility

Tripura TET exam dates 2020 have not been released yet. However, the application form for Tripura TET 2020 exam is expected to be released by Teachers Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT)Β anytime soon.

Candidates interested in applying can fill the T-TET application form 2020 on the official website of the exam. However, before applying for the exam it is important for candidates to ensure that they meet the Tripura TET eligibility 2020. In case, at any stage it is found that a candidate is not eligible, s/he will be disqualified for the exam.

Tripura TET 2020 Eligibility for Paper-I (for Classes 1-5)

Candidates planning to be teachers of Classes 1-5 need to meet the below-mentioned educational qualification:

T-TET Educational Qualification for Paper-I

Candidates need to meet any one of the educational criteria mentioned below in order to be eligible for the Tripura TET exam:

  • Clear Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) or one-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed) upto academic session 2005-06
  • Clear Class 12 with minimum 45 per cent aggregate and complete two-year DElEd in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002 or one-year D.Ed upto academic session 2005-06
  • Clear Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and complete four-year duration BElEd course
  • Clear Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and possess a two-year Diploma in Special Education
  • Clear graduation and two-year DElEd or one-year D.Ed upto academic session 2005-06
  • Clear graduation with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and possess a B.Ed degree

T-TET Educational Qualification for Paper-II

Candidates need to meet any one of the educational criteria mentioned below in order to be eligible for the exam:

  • Clear graduation and two-year DElEd or one-year D.Ed upto academic session 2005-06
  • Clear graduation with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and possess a B.Ed degree
  • Clear graduation with minimum 45 per cent aggregate and possess a B.Ed degree in accordance with the NCTE Regulations
  • Clear Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and complete four-year duration BElEd course
  • Clear Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and complete four-year duration BA/BScEd or BAEd/BScEd
  • Clear graduation with minimum 50 per cent aggregate and possess a B.Ed degree in Special Education

Important Points Regarding Tripura TET Eligibility 2020

Check out some of the important points regarding Tripura TET eligibility below:

  • Five per cent relaxation in qualifying marks has been given to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH) category
  • Candidates in final year of B.Ed or DElEd are eligible to apply for the exam. However, such candidates must produce their marksheet and certificate at the time of document verification else, they will be considered as candidates under relaxed category, if otherwise not disqualified.
  • There is no age limit prescribed for appearing in T-TET exam. However, the official website informs, β€œit must be carefully noted that the recruitment of Under Graduate Teacher (For Classes I-V) and Graduate Teacher (For Classes VI-VIII) the age limit will be as per recruitment rules of the Government of Tripura as amended from time to time.”
