After paying the application fee, candidates need to register using the 'Payment Transaction Reference Number' and select the UT for which they are applying. Candidates need to fulfill the JKSET eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification to be eligible to apply for the exam. Have a look at the JKSET educational qualification below:
Candidates with at least 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade (50 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD) in Master’s Degree or equivalent exam from Universities/ Institutions recognised by UGC.
Candidates who appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree exam and whose result is still awaited will be admitted provisionally and will be awarded the eligibility for Assistant Professor after they pass the Master’s degree exam.
PhD degree holders who completed the Master’s degree exam by September 19, 1991, are given a relaxation of 5 per cent in aggregate marks for appearing in JKSET/ LASET.
Candidates who have already passed the UGC NET/ CSIR NET exam before 1989 are exempted from appearing in JK SET.
Candidates need to upload scanned documents (photo and signature) while filling out the JKSET application form. The JKSET photo and signature should be in jpg/ jpeg format and the size should be less than 50Kb. The scanned photo should either be in colour or black & white with 80 per cent face visible including ears against white background.
