JKSET Application Form 2025: The JKSET application form was released again on February 3, 2025. The last date to apply online for the JK SET 2024 session exam was February 10, 2025. Earlier, the JK SET application form was available from June 11 to July 26, 2024. Candidates could pay the JKSET application fee 2025 online. The University of Jammu opened the JK SET application correction 2025 window from July 29 to July 31, 2025, and from February 13 to 15, 2025. Candidates could use the JK SET form correction 2025 link to make changes to the already submitted application form for the JKSET/ LASET 2025 exam.

The JKSET 2024 application form was released on June 11, 2024. The JKSET application form 2024 was available from June 11 to July 26, 2024. Candidates could pay the JKSET application fee 2024 till July 20, 2024, without a late fee. Moreover, candidates could pay the JKSET exam fee 2024 till July 25, 2024, with a late fee of INR 600. The last date for final submission of the JKSET application form 2024 was July 26, 2024. The JK SET application was reopened on February 3, 2025 and was available till February 10, 2025.

How to fill the JK SET Application Form 2025?

The JKSET application 2025 was required to be filled out online. Candidates could fill the JK SET application form 2025 by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official JKSET website

Candidates need to visit the official website of the University of Jammu - www.jammuuniversity.ac.in and read important Instructions carefully before proceeding further

Step 2: Pay the JKSET application fee

Next, candidates need to pay the JKSET application fee in online mode via credit card/ debit card/ net banking. The amount that needs to be paid as an application fee is mentioned below.

Step 3: Register and upload documents

After paying the application fee, candidates need to register using the 'Payment Transaction Reference Number' and select the UT for which they are applying. Following this, candidates need to upload the recent photograph and signature in jpg/ jpeg format. The size of the picture need to be less than 50 KB.

Thereafter, candidates need to enter the following details in the application form:

Q:   What is the qualification for JKSET?
A: 

Candidates need to fulfill the JKSET eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification to be eligible to apply for the exam. Have a look at the JKSET educational qualification below:

  • Candidates with at least 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade (50 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD) in Master’s Degree or equivalent exam from Universities/ Institutions recognised by UGC.

  • Candidates who appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree exam and whose result is still awaited will be admitted provisionally and will be awarded the eligibility for Assistant Professor after they pass the Master’s degree exam.

  • PhD degree holders who completed the Master’s degree exam by September 19, 1991, are given a relaxation of 5 per cent in aggregate marks for appearing in JKSET/ LASET.

  • Candidates who have already passed the UGC NET/ CSIR NET exam before 1989 are exempted from appearing in JK SET.

 

Q:   What is JKSET photo and signature size?
A: 

Candidates need to upload scanned documents (photo and signature) while filling out the JKSET application form. The JKSET photo and signature should be in jpg/ jpeg format and the size should be less than 50Kb. The scanned photo should either be in colour or black & white with 80 per cent face visible including ears against white background.

Q:   What is the JKSET exam date 2025?

The JKSET/LASET 2025 exam will be held soon. Earlier, the JKSET 2025 exam was scheduled to be held on May 11, 2025. However, the exam was postponed due to the prevailing situation. The JKSET exam will be held offline in pen and paper mode. The JKSET 2025 exam is conducted for a total of 41 subjects at three centres - Jammu, Srinagar and Leh. The JKSET/ LASET exam is held to determine the eligibility of a candidate for the Assistant Professor post in the universities and colleges of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The JKSET exam carried a total of 150 questions in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The JK SET Paper 1 comprises 50 questions of 2 marks each and Paper 2 comprises 100 questions of 2 marks each. Candidates need to attempt these questions in the given time frame.

No, PhD is not compulsory for the JK SET exam. However, PhD degree holders who did their Master's degree or post-graduation by September 19,  1991 get relaxation of 5% for appearing in JKSET exam. In this case, the date of declaration of Master's degree result is not applicable.
