How Students Are Preparing for CUET UG 2025? Self-Study, Coaching, and Trends

CUET UG total marks is 250 Marks for each subject. Candidates can choose up to five CUET subjects. Each subject paper has 50 questions which will total to 250 marks for each subject. For every correct answer, candidate will get 5 marks. The CUET total marks will be uniform for all 37 subjects. On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2024-25, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other top central universities in the desired course. • Very Good Score: 700 and above
• Good Score: 650 and above

Score range between 400-649 is considered an average score. Admission on the basis of the average score can et into any decent college in India accepting CUET scores. 

Hansraj College admission to various UG courses is based on CUET UG scores followed by round-wise counselling. Delhi University conducts a centralised counselling process for the affiliated colleges. DU releases the merit lists for candidates who qualify for the cutoff. Hansraj College cut off 2023, the Round 1 closing score for the top courses including Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) is 99, the range for BA (Hons) is 80-99, for BSc (Hons) the range is 96-99 or the General category students belonging to All India Quota. Yes, CUET UG question consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. The medium of the question paper will be English and langauge chosen by the candidate. CUET UG question paper will consist of 50 MCQs in each subjects. All questions will be compulsory to attempt. For every correct answer candidates will get five marks and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

The maximum total marks for the CUET UG 2025 exam is 250. However, the actual total marks you can score depend on the number of subjects you choose during the application process. According to the newly revised CUET exam pattern, candidates can now select up to 5 subjects. However, different universities have different subject combination criteria. So candidates are adviced to check the university-wise eligibility criteria and subject mapping for their desire UG course.

For instance, the subject combination for B.Com at Allahabad University is English or Hindi, Accountancy/Book Keeping, and General Test. Therefore, according to 250 marks per subject, the total maks will be 750.
