This college has the best campus that students will get in India.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in core and non-core from this course. The average salary package offered is 1 crore, and the minimum salary package offered is 20 LPA. All the top MNCs come to IIT and they are open to most of the departments. Many students get internships and projects in foreign countries this year. In core, there are not many but students can always go to non-core.
Infrastructure: In this college, Wi-Fi is one of the largest Wi-Fi networks in India and it provides decent speed. LAN is also available which gives around 500 Mbps. Hostels are not that modern but it feel like home once students start living there. Basic facilities are there, and mess food is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are good at teaching as they are well qualified. If students want to ask doubts then teachers are available in their office throughout the day. The curriculum is very relevant to students and if students want to go to core then this will help. There will be 2 exams in the semester.

Encouragement for higher studies is lacking.
Placements: Those who opted for placement, almost all of them were placed. The highest package was 20 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. About internships, many of my juniors got an internship in top companies. Mostly in data and software and data. Top roles offered are analyst, lecturer, software designer.
Infrastructure: We have a library and its digital. Wi-Fi is present throughout the campus. Classrooms have projectors and are well-equipped. In the hostel, the rooms are nice. Food is not that good. Low budget food. Sports facilities are excellent. Canteens are awesome.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. But some aren't up to the mark. Some teachers are enthusiastic and motivate us but some just want to grill the students and mock them. The course curriculum is quite good. It covers almost every branch of physics. With a physics background, some even crack top jobs.

The college offers a great and competitive environment. Placements are really good.
Placements: A very good number of students who took part in the placement process got placed in various renowned companies both from India and abroad like GE, G&S, Facebook, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. Out of the total number of students getting placed, almost 50% of the students got placed in core fields, and the rest got placed in non-core fields like data analytics and finance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good but old. A part of the college is old. New buildings are being built now. A new classroom complex has been built which can accomodate all the students on the campus at the same time. It's called Nalanda classroom complex. Each classroom is equipped with a projector screen and also air-conditioners.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are good. Some are not good. However, there are some really good professors. In all departments, surely you will find a professor who is going to change your life for the better. Our course curriculum is changed each semester. Though there is a prescribed syllabus for each course, often they are not followed.

Excellent placement, good infrastructure. Support from seniors and professors in technology.
Placements: The placement is the best things for which IITs are known. People do say science students have no future, but half of our batch indeed go for the best US and Europe universities, and another half in finance where physics and mathematics are the most important. Others go for the placement in web development, and some go to the finest companies like Samsung and IBM.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best with almost all air-conditioned classrooms, and 3 bedded rooms are pretty much big. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. You can get Wi-Fi even in the parks and gym. Talking about sports and games, we have inter-hall and inter IIT competitions. The teams also go for state and national level competitions. Beating an IIT in educational infrastructure is difficult. We have the best of the best labs with German and Japan equipment and state of the art research labs.
Faculty: The course curriculum is the best and indeed not everyone's cup of tea. That's why they select students on such a tough basis. But once, you pass out of college you know how to struggle in your life. The professors are well qualified with research papers in international journals. A 10 point CGPA system is used to grade students. The student to the faculty ratio is 18:1, and good industry exposure like TATA, Google. Best research areas for science students. I personally got the internship in IISER Pune. You can get every thing you want after coming here.
Other: Spring fest and Kshitij, the campus crowd inducing fests of the campus and total turnover of crores. The scholarships like MCM and Inspire and awards over 100 are given to both the students and professors.

Really good infrastructure, facilities and quality of life at IIT- Kharagpur.
Placements: I wasn't in the engineering branch and didn't opt for the placements. Hence, I do not have much idea about the statistics of the placement in my or the senior's batch. But overall, I know they were good, with over 1100 students placed in our batch, including a lot of overseas companies. Again, I did not apply for the internship through college as I was after an academic internship (not industry) and hence cannot mention any statistics regarding the institute organised internships.
Infrastructure: The academic infrastructure is great, especially the labs and classrooms for the first year students. Second year onwards, each student is inducted into respective departments, and then it depends on that department as to how the infrastructure is. But, the IIT-KGP being an old institute, for some departments the classrooms and labs are quite old, although they have or are undergoing renovations. New classroom complex has been built to handle the increasing number of freshers, which are the state of the art buildings. Wi-Fi is usually absolutely great, and its library is the biggest in Asia, with complete modern facilities. Medical facilities are there but might need improvement. Sports and recreation facilities are excellent. A new student activity centre has been built which is repleted with all the modern recreation and sports amenities. Hostel rooms in the new hostels are fantastic. Old hostels obviously have old rooms which are not that great, but there also a lot of renovation going on currently. The only considerable complaint, in this case, is of its food quality which is served in the hostels. For most of the hostels, the food was quite bad.
Faculty: Most faculty members in my department are very friendly, helpful and understanding. Most of them are very knowledgeable in their respective research areas, but not necessarily they are the best teachers. After the first year, where classes are in huge auditoriums with projector screens, the teaching methods in most individual departments used were the classical blackboard method with lectures and exams, with very little utilization of the modern education systems or technology. These methods should really be improved. The student to faculty ratio in our department was around 8:1 at the time when I was a student. The course curriculum too, was old and not revised according to the changing needs of the society. But we heard talks about that, being revised and modernised very soon.

Yes, but less in number (e.g.-Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi). Generally, nanotechnology is preferred in under-graduation or post-graduation.
