CUET mock test 2026 will soon be released on the official NTA website, nta.ac.in. Candidates preparing for the CUET UG 2026 exam must practise mock tests regularly to know the latest exam pattern, question types, and CBT mode of examination. CUET mock tests are important because they help improve speed, time management, and the chances of scoring highly. Candidates can also identify the common mistakes to ignore for exam day. The CUET UG 2026 exam will be held tentatively between May 11 and May 31, 2026, in computer-based mode (CBT). Candidates can attempt the official CUET UG mock test 2026 for free through the official NTA mock test portal. Practising these mock tests helps candidates get familiar with the CUET exam pattern, question format, and computer-based test (CBT) mode.

How to Attempt CUET UG Mock Test 2026 Online

Follow the steps below to access the NTA CUET mock test 2026:

  • Visit the official website: nta.ac.in/Quiz
  • Select 'CUET (UG)' exam from the dropdown menu
  • Choose the subject/paper to attempt
  • Click on the Login button
  • Carefully read all the instructions displayed on the screen
  • Click on Proceed to start the CUET mock test

Q:   What type of questions are asked in the CUET exam?
A: 

The CUET questions are objective in nature and carries four options also known as MCQs. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, students will get +5 marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer. 

Q:   Is CUET UG General Test difficult?
A: 

The CUET General Test is moderate in difficulty level. The exam is not very difficult if the candidate is prepared well for the exam. CUET General Test assess candidate's basic aptitude, reasoning and general awareness. CUET General Test includes topics like percentages, profit & loss, ratio & proportions, time & work, simple compound & interest and may more topics in class 12th NCERT curriculum.

Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt all the sections of the CUET question paper?

CUET UG question paper for each subject will consist of 50 questions. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions and no optional questions will be provided. In CUET UG 2026 there are 37 subjects- 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and general tests. While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select upto five CUET subjects aligning with the subjects studied in class 12th and course requirement.

Candidates must attempt all the questions of the subjects selected. However, candidates must keep in mind the negative marking and select the options carefully.

What is CUET Mock Test Structure?

The CUET UG mock test is similar to the actual exam pattern. It helps students understand how the real test will be conducted in computer-based mode (CBT). The mock test is divided into the same sections as the prescribed exam pattern:

  • Language: Includes reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar-based questions
  • Domain Subjects: Subject-specific questions based on the Class 12 NCERT syllabus
  • General Aptitude Test: Covers logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, general knowledge, and current affairs

Each CUET UG mock test paper will have:

  • Multiple choice questions
  • Each subject will be of 60 minute duration
  • Standard marking for all subjects (correct answer +5, negative marking for wrong answers)
  • On-screen tools like timer, a question palette, and a panel to experience the real CBT environment

The difficulty level of the CUET exam varies between moderate and tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. While for the well-prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side.  

Q:   What is the CUET marking scheme?
A: 

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2026:

  • Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
  • Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
  • Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
  • If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
  • If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
  • If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

CUET UG 2026 question paper will include four answer options for each question. Candidates must read the questions carefully and mark any one of the options which is correct. Candidates will get negative marking for every wrong answer. Hence, candidates must attempt questions carefully  to avoid any negative marking.

No, students can not get into Hindu College, University of Delhi Without giving CUET exam. CUET score is necessary to get admisisons in Hindu College. After the results of CUET, the cut off is released. The seats are allocated through Common Seat Allocation System  (CSAS) of Delhi University.
