Rajasthan PTET Exam Preparation Plan

Start by Solidifying Your Basics

  • To do the same, candidates are advised to revise the important concepts in Mental Ability (coding-decoding, series, analogies, puzzles).
  • Cover General Awareness (history, Indian polity, geography, and current affairs).
  • Focus on basic grammar rules, comprehension, and vocabulary for the Language section.
  • Follow a timetable and allot at least 3-4 hours daily for revision practising mock tests and solving past year question papers.

Revision and Practice are the key to success

  • Solve previous years' question papers and attempt mock tests regularly to improve familiarity with the exam pattern and question types.
  • Prepare concise one-page revision notes covering important topics such as teaching philosophies, educational concepts, and general awareness. Keep these notes handy and revise them whenever you get free time.
  • Practice Hindi and English language questions, especially error detection, sentence correction, grammar rules, and sentence improvement exercises.
  • Use a timer while solving mock tests and practice papers. This will help improve your speed, time management skills, and overall question-solving efficiency.
  • Pay special attention to the Teaching Aptitude section, as it is often considered one of the highest-scoring areas of the exam. Revise topics such as classroom management, child development, learning theories, and teaching methodologies.
  • Revise important static GK topics and stay updated with recent current affairs. Make short notes of significant events for quick revision.
  • Analyse your mock test performance carefully. Identify recurring mistakes, work on weak areas, and ensure that the same errors are not repeated in subsequent tests.
  • Avoid starting any new topics during the final stage of preparation. Focus only on revising concepts you have already studied and strengthening your existing knowledge.

General Tips for Students Preparing for the PTET 2026

  • Stay Consistent and make a realistic timetable and stick to it.
  • Avoid passive reading, write, quiz yourself, and teach concepts to others. If you can’t find anyone, talk in front of the mirror to reinforce what you have already read.
Follow credible sources for daily current affairs, especially those of Rajasthan and India.
  • Take short breaks in between study sessions to avoid burnout.
  • Eat right, sleep 7–8 hours daily, and stay hydrated. Falling ill is the last thing an aspirant will ever want

PTET Last-Minute Do’s & Don’ts

Do’s:

  • Revise from your notes.
  • Keep your hall ticket and ID proof ready once released. If it is possible, check the route of the exam centre and adjust as per the traffic.
  • Stay confident and calm while attempting the questions.

Don’ts:

  • Don’t start any new topics during this period, as it will only add to the confusion.
  • Don’t compare your PTET preparation with others. It often leads to confusion and disappointment
  • Avoid late-night studying one day before the exam.

Neither is universally better. PTET is suitable for candidates who want to teach higher classes, while BSTC is designed for those who wish to become primary teachers.
