TSEdCET 2025: The Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TGEdCET) is an annual BEd entrance conducted by state-appointed government universities. In 2025, the test will be conducted at Kakatiya University, on behalf of TCHE Telangana Council of Higher Education (TCHE). TG EdCET 2025 will be conducted on June 1, 2025. The TSEdCET is a popular BEd entrance exam in the Telangana state. Students in huge numbers apply for this test. If you are facing issues related to counseling allocation for TSEdCET, you must reach out to the exam conducting authorities. Candidates must carry the following documents to the TSEdCET exam centre:

  • Printed copy of the TSEdCET Admit Card
  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, Driving License, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID)
  • Passport-size photograph (same as the one uploaded in the application)

Without these, they will not be persmitted to enter the exam hall. It is also advisable to carry a copy of the application form printout and arrive at the centre well before reporting time. Ensure the photo and signature on the ID match those on the admit card.

Q:   Is a B Tech Student Eligible for TS EdCET?

Yes, a BTech student is eligible for the TS EdCET exam. The degree must be from a recognised university with at least 50% marks. They can choose only some methodologies, like Maths.

TSEdCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

As per the official notification of TSEdCET candidates must have a minimum qualification of graduation or post-graduation from a recognized university with 55% marks to apply for the exam. The minimum age limit to apply for the TS EDCET 2024 Exam is 19 years, while there is no upper age limit.

Aspirants who have a B.A/B.Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the group subjects. B.E/B. Tech with Mathematics and BCA with Mathematics at 10+2 can apply.

Physical Science

Aspirants who have a B.Sc degree and those who have studied Physics or Chemistry or allied subjects under Part-II group subjects can apply. Students who have a B.E/B. Tech with Physics or Chemistry subjects and BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at 10+2 can also apply.

Biological Science

Students with B.Sc./B.Sc (Home Science) who have studied Botany or Zoology or allied subjects under Part-II group subjects and BCA students with Biological Sciences at 10+2 can apply.

Social Science

Students with B.A with Social Science subjects /B.Com/B.B.M/ B.B.A and BCA students with Social Sciences at 10+2.

English

B.A. in Special English/English Literature/MA English is eligible to apply.

Languages

Students with B.Telugu/Hindi/ Marathi/ Urdu/Arabic/Sanskrit as one of the optional. 


Students with Literature (BA-L) (Telugu/ Hindi/ Marathi/ Urdu/ Arabic/ Sanskrit). 


Students with BA (Oriental Languages) in Telugu/ Hindi/ Marathi/ Urdu/ Arabic/Sanskrit. Candidates with a Master’s Degree in Telugu /Hindi/ Marathi/ Urdu/ Arabic/ Sanskrit will be eligible to apply for the TSEdCET 2024 exam/

Domicile

Students applying for the TSEdCET exam must have been a resident of Telangana state or they must have lived or completed their 10th or 12th from Telangana. 85% of seats will be reserved for Telangana candidates and 15% for students from the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.

TSEdCET Marking Scheme 2025

The TS EDCET 2025 exam is conducted in online mode and will comprise of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The time duration of the exam will be 2 hours. There will be no negative marking in the exam. 

Note: There is no negative marking in the TSEdCET exam.
