What is the Next Step after MAH BEd CET Results 2026?

If you have cleared the exam, then start by registering for the MAH BEd CET counselling. The schedule is released in June and continues until October. The MAH BEd CET counselling is conducted across multiple rounds (three rounds, based on the MAH BEd CET counselling). The entire CAP 2026 schedule will be displayed in due course.

State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, conducts the MAH BEd CET Counselling Process to allot seats for the BEd Courses. MAH BEd CET CAP 2026 (Counselling)

The MAH BEd CET counselling process is conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). All qualified candidates must participate in the MAH BEd CET counselling to be considered for admission. Through this process, candidates are allotted seats in BEd courses offered by colleges and universities that accept MAH BEd CET scores. MAH BEd CET Counselling or CAP will include the following steps:   

  • Online registration by candidates and filling up the CAP form in online mode.  
  • Online verification of documents by the exam body scrutiny team.
  • Updating and confirmation of the MAH BEd CET 2026 application form. 
  • Candidates will have to produce the original documents for verification rounds in the later stages.  
  • Candidates are required to report to the allotted institute as per the merit list. 
  • Confirmation of admission and commencement of the BEd classes.

The MAH BEd CET counselling process will likely be organised across 4 rounds - 3 CAP rounds and 1 institute-level round. The major steps in the MAH BEd CET counselling process include registration, college option form filling, the release of the final merit list, the launch of seat allocation results, and reporting to the college.

After the MAH BEd CET result is declared, candidates need to take part in the counselling process, the counselling process consists of the following stages -

Registration:

  • MAH BEd CET exam-qualified candidates, after the result declaration, can participate in the CAP rounds
  • To be part of the CAP process, they will have to register for the counselling process, adhering to dates and schedule.
  • The e-scrutiny team will conduct the e-verification of the uploaded documents of the candidates and the filled-in application form.

Release of the Alphabetical and Final Merit List:

  • Post the counselling registration and e-verification, the exam authority will issue the alphabetical merit list.
  • After the list is released, candidates can submit complaints if they have any.
  • The admission committee will consider the concerns, and if they are valid, they will declare the final merit list.
  • College option form filling for rounds 1 and 2.
  • The college option form-filling window will open after the announcement of the final merit list. Candidates on the final merit list can choose colleges as per their preferences.
  • The options you provide during this period will be valid for CAP rounds 1 and 2

Seat Allotment and Result Announcement

  • Candidates are assigned seats based on their merit rank, web options, and the availability of seats. The seat allotment result is announced on the official CAP portal.
  • Aspirants must download the provisional allotment letter from their candidate login window.
  • They must submit a copy of the provisional allotment letter to the assigned college during the college reporting period.
  • If aspirants are allotted a seat as per their first preference during the choice-filling process, the allotment is considered final. They must give consent and select the "Freeze" option to confirm the seat. These candidates will not be eligible to participate in further college option rounds and must confirm the allotment by paying a one-time seat acceptance fee of INR 1,000 through the candidate login portal.
  • Shortlisted candidates must report to the allocated institute for the checking of their documents and confirm their admission by paying the prescribed college fees.
  • Aspirants who are not allotted their first preference but still wish to confirm their admission may also use the Freeze option.
  • Candidates who do not wish to confirm their current allotment can select the "Betterment" option and proceed to Round 2 and Round 3 of the counselling process.
