Kind of disappointed about the facilities and infrastructure, too.

Placements: 30% of students (those who opted for career development centre did not go for higher studies) The highest package of my course revolves around 30 LPA (abroad) and the lowest might be around 8 LPA Placements aren't really 100% guaranteed as claimed by them.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is different for different departments. Some of them have a central AC system while others lack AC even in the classroom . Wi-Fi isn't provided to the day scholars, even if it's given, it’s for laptops (CSE class only). Grounds are present for any kind of sports practice. Mess is common for males and females.

Faculty: The teachers are mostly qualified, and most of them are from abroad. The course is relevant, but till now, India doesn't have much development in this field. Semester exams are held for 50 marks; the paper is usually average, and 50 marks are for class internal assessments.

Other: The best thing about my course is that it provides a lot of lab works. If someone is interested in research works, it's suitable for them . I wish more, better teachers/ faculties could be selected for the course. Yaa, there are many events every semester, concerts, and so on. Also , there’s a club for the students for hobby-related activities.

Good infrastructure, faculty, and placement.

Placements: We have a total of 160 students (on average) in our B.Tech Biotechnology course. The average package offered is around 3-4 LPA as a beginner, and the highest package offered is 28 LPA. Almost every student gets an internship in our course, provided by our college.

Infrastructure: The rooms and washrooms are very clean. The library has a variety of books and is centrally air-conditioned. We have Wi-Fi all over the campus, and a wide range of food is provided, with amazing taste. All the classrooms have AC and projectors for interactive classes.

Faculty: All the teachers in the faculty have advanced degrees and are very qualified. Their teaching methods are excellent. The course curriculum is very relevant and gives students hands-on experience to make them industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate.

Truly unforgettable college days.

Placements: The number of students placed was very low, and most were placed in fields different from their area of study. Salary packages offered to the placed students were also minimal. Internships were scarce, and only hardworking students managed to secure them.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good, with libraries, computer labs, and experiment labs available. Our classroom had Wi-Fi and was kept clean. Hostels were well-maintained and clean, and the warden was strict. The food provided was really tasty. A medical facility was available but suitable only for minor issues.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and teaching quality was good. One of the faculty members, Abhineet, taught us exceptionally well. The course was relevant but not fully aligned with industry standards, and students were not adequately prepared for the industry. The passing percentage was set at 60%.

Other: I was a biology student and had an interest in biotechnology from the beginning. Improvements could focus on making students industry-ready. The events were well-organised and attracted a good crowd.

A bit disappointed with the faculty members, infrastructure but I guess placements are fine here.

Placements: The percentage of students that were placed in this course was almost all. The lowest to the highest average package offered is 3-4 to 8-10lacs. Biocon and Suraksha are offered internships. The ranges offered in this course are marketing jobs, software engineering, and R&D jobs.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are okay. Our labs are better compared to others in the area, and the library is also fine. The Hostel mess food is good and the canteen food is also good. The medical facilities are also available. The sports and games are good but door games are not available.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and they are qualified. Their teaching quality is okay but I am not so personally satisfied with all the teachers because of the language problem. The native language they use while teaching. The curriculum is related it helpful in making students industry-ready. The semester exams are good level. I mean yes, they are a bit tough like 7-8 out of 10. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: I chose this course because it's industrial and applicable too with other fields also it gives more options for jobs or further studies. Things that I wish would be better are more hands-on lab practicals for more skills. Events here are like cultural events, but yes academic events are always on going. The campus crowd is average not so much compared to other colleges apart from the fact that it is best in East-West Bengal. The campus surroundings are not so good it is a bit of a village kind of surrounding. Scholarships are available here, extracurricular activities are also there.

Review about Adamas University

Placements: About 60% of our seniors were placed for jobs from our college. The highest ever package offered from our college was about 8.5 LPA and the lowest was about 3 LPA in BTech Biotechnology last year. It is mandatory to do an internship for the certificate the college will provide with the internship from the third year. There are a lot of rules that are provided by different companies in our college like, for example, in the chemical sector, agriculture sector, pharmaceutical sector, and even in the manufacturing sector.

Infrastructure: There are some left installed in our college hostel and their vending machine for students for convenience things, and there are also convenient stores outside the boys’ and girls’ hostels. Overall, the hostel is not a bad place for people to stay, and the only down factor about the hostel is that it is really costly for a middle-class family member to afford it. We have central AC, and all the classes are easily facilitated; only some of the buildings and some of the classes do not have AC, but the majority of the classes have easy and Wi-Fi facilities with good classrooms and a good library for students to study. The medical facility offered by the college is also good, and there are doctors present at all times for students and faculties.

Faculty: Faculty is one of the best factors in our college. The overall teaching style of every teacher differs from each other, but at the end of the day, all the teachers are good at studying their own subject. The teachers are also cooperative and helpful during any problems regarding the subjects. Talking about the students being industry-ready, yes, it is true and really helpful for all the students. As in technical fields like B.Tech, the grooming of the students starts from the very first year of the college, and Adams University really holds its card on that factor. The semester exams of the college are difficult and also very challenging for students. At the same time, it also challenges the students to think out of the box and answer all the questions. As in our technical field in BTech, Biotechnology, most of the questions will come from the syllabus, and there will not be any problem in studying and finding the solutions.

Other: I chose biotechnology because biotechnology is a really rapidly expanding subject and it will benefit all the people around us in the near future. Biotechnology will be at its peak and it has a high demand globally. In fact, on the society, there is a high demand for it. I am also one of the reasons why I chose biotechnology because I love solving biological problems. I have completed my schooling in PCB and I was also inclined towards technology as well as biology, so I chose this subject. The events and the fests that are organised in our college are very good and the campus life of our college is also really good. Overall, the Canvas is a place where we can chat with people and also enjoy our free time. It is one of the biggest campuses that I have ever seen in West Bengal. After Jadavpur University, our Adams University has a really good campus and there is a Cafe Coffee Day and a Basket Robin outlet also present in our campus.

Entrance Test
Eligible candidates need to appear for the admission test conducted by the Adamas University Admission Test (AUAT). Candidates with valid rank in WBJEE/ JEE Mains are exempted from AUAT.
Final Selection
Candidates are selected based on Adamas University Admission Test marks. Direct admission will be given to candidate: Preliminary IIT JEE merit list and WBJEE merit list. More than 70% in class 10+2 examination (West Bengal Board), 80% and above in CBSC and ISC (Senior secondary). More than 70% in class 10 examination (West Bengal Board), 80% and above in CBSC and ISC (secondary) and same percentage in class 11th. Foreign candidate can apply directly to the college fulfilling the eligibility criteria and equivalent examination in foreign countries.
