AMU BSc courses are four year undergraduate courses that are offered in full-time mode only. BSc at AMU is only offered in honors mode in several specialisations some of which include BSc in Biochemistry, Agriculture, Computer Applications, etc. AMU also offered BSc in Nursing courses along with an integrated BSc B.Ed course, both of which have the same four year duration.
AMU BSc admissions are based on entrance exam scores across all specialisations. For Aligarh Muslim University course admissions, candidates can either appear for the AMU Entrance Exam or the CUET-UG, depending on their chosen BSc (hons) specialisation.
To be eligible for AMU course admissions, candidates need to fulfill the below mentioned BSc eligibility criteria:

Aligarh Muslim University offers a full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to AMU for BSc must visit the official website of the University to apply online. AMU BSc admission is completely entrance-based. Depending upon the BSc specialisation chosen by a candidate, the admission is provided based on candidates' marks in either AMU Entrance Exam or CUET-UG. Based on the entrance exam scores, AMU will release a merit list of selected students. As a final step, selected students need to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.
Aligarh Muslim University offers a three-year full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Apart from the BSc course, the University also offers BSc (Hons) courses. AMU BSc Admission Dates 2026
The AMU BSc admission dates are directly aligned with the timeline of the AMU entrance exam. However, candidates can also track the dates of CUET-UG as it is also accepted for BSc admissions at AMU. The AMU entrance exam dates are usually scheduled between the months of May and August.

The AMU BSc in Biochemistry curriculum is designed in a way to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the chemical processes within living organisms. Spread over a duration of three years, which in total is six semesters. Each semester, students will get to learn certain core and Ability Enhancement Discipline Centric Courses. AMU BSc seats are offered in a limited number every academic year. Currently, each BSc course at AMU has a seat intake between 20 - 185. The allocation of these seats will be based on AMU entrance exam or CUET-UG scores submitted by the candidates.

AMU BSc admission is strictly entrance-based. Candidates must apply and appear for the accepted entrance exam as per their preferred specialisation. Candidates seeking admission to the following BSc specialisations at AMU must appear for CUET UG in order to gain admission:
- BSc (Hons) in Community Science
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Geography
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Statistics
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Education
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Women's Studies
Candidates seeking admission to any other BSc specialisation will have to appear for AMU EE, the entrance exam conducted by the university.
The CUET result 2025 will be declared tentatively in last week of July 2025. All of those candidates who will appear for the exam can download their CUET Scorecard online after its release. The link to check the CUET result card will be updated on CUET exam results , and the candidates are supposed to log in to view the CUET 2025 scorecard online. The CUET scores are used for admission to various universities/colleges that the candidates had applied for while filling in the application form. Candidates are advised to download and take a printed copy of the CUET 2025 results when they are released.
Shortlisted candidates have to present a list of documents for verification purposes at the time of admission to the courses offered at AMU. Candidates must carry the following original documents at the time of physical reporting:
- Mark sheet of last qualifying examination (with four self-attested photocopies)
- Transfer/migration and character certificate (If the Certificate is not available, an undertaking on the prescribed format is to be submitted within the due date)
- High school certificate or its equivalent in support of the date of birth
- Five (2.5 x 3.0 cms) recent front-facing colour photographs (with white background)
- Documents in support of Special Categories claimed in the application form
- Leave sanction/relieving order from the employer for the entire duration of the course, if employed.
- Name removal certificate from the rolls of the concerned faculty/college/unit (if already enrolled in another full-time course at AMU)
- Two self-addressed envelopes bearing postage stamps worth INR 22 each (to be submitted in the Office of the Provost of Hall of Residence/NRSC allotted).
- Two Undertakings on plain paper – one on your behalf and the other on behalf of your parents/guardian regarding not indulging in ragging
- the latest Certificate of vaccination for Typhoid, Cholera and Hepatitis “B” – (applicable only for BSc Nursing course)

A nationwide entrance exam called the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is required for admission to all undergraduate degrees at all central universities. Registration for CUET UG 2024 closed at 11:50 p.m. on April 5, 2024. The online application for CUET 2024 was open. The CUET 2024 admission card was made available by the National Testing Agency via exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ on May 29. The CUET 2024 exam for Delhi centres was originally planned for May 15, but the NTA has moved it to May 29. The CUET admit card and intimation slip can be downloaded by candidates who have paid the application fee and registered for the exam.
