To secure admission in the BA LLB course of Aligarh Muslim University, the first thing an aspirant should check is the eligibility criteria, followed by registering their candidature for admission.

Candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised institute with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for the AMU BA LLB course.

The complete process to apply for AMU BA LLB is mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Aligarh Muslim University

Step 2: Click on the "Admission/ Exams" available on the taskbar

Step 3: On the redirected page go to the Admission menu> General Admission> Application forms> Signup

Step 4: Enter all the required details and generate a username and password

Step 5: Login using the username and password generated, and upload the required documents

Step 6: Pay the required application fee and click on submit.

The AMU application form for admission to BA LLB 2024 batch are not released yet. In 2023, the AMU Entrance exam forms were released in the month of feb and the entrance exam for admission to AMU BA LLB took place in March. 

Therefore, based on previous year's schedule, the AMU BA LLB application form are expected to release in the second week of Feb 2024. 

The Faculty of Law, AMU is located in Uttar Pradesh India. It offers courses like BA LLB (Bachelor's in Arts with Bachelors in Law) and LLM Programme (Master of Laws). If we assess the costs to be incured for studying this courses; it is found that the total fees for the 5-year BALLB Programme at AMU is INR 1,01,6,720 and for the 2-year LLM Programme is INR 4.1 lakhs, The fees amount only includes the course fees and not the fess  need to be paid at the time of admission neither the hostel fees. The application fee for the 2023 BALLB programme is INR 700 without late fees and INR 1000 with late fees. The registration fee for the 2023 BALLB programme is INR 900, with an additional INR 300 late fee. So it can be inferred that the faculty of Law, AMU is pretty costly for students belonging from middle-class families.

During 2022 placements, 181 out of 219 BA LLB students were placed. Earlier, 179 out of 219 students were placed during 2021 placements. For LLM, 10 out of 35 were placed during 2022 placements. In 2021, 7 out of 35 LLM students were placed. AMU Entrance Exam 2026 will be conducted for B.A. LL.B. Course admission. The law entrance exam will be held in Aligarh, Kozhikode (Kerala), Kolkata (WB). The exam was held at AMU test centres located in seven cities across India I. e. Aligarh (UP), Srinagar (J&K), Lucknow (UP)Patna (Bihar), Kolkata (WB), Khanapara (Meghalaya), and Kozhikode (Kerala). For the department tests, the exam centre will be in Aligarh only. Aligarh Muslim University accepts Persian/4 exam to shortlist candidates for admission to seven undergraduate courses.

AMU conducts its own entrance test called Aligarh Muslim University Common Admission Test (AMU-CAT) for admission to the MBA course. The Admission Test shall be held at Aligarh, Kolkata & Kozhikode. Based on the marks secured by the candidates in the AMU-CAT entrance test, a merit list for admission will be drawn. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list released by the University are then required to appear for the Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD & PI) round. The final selection is based on the candidates' performance in the counselling process, conducted by AMU.

Aligarh Muslim University offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. AMU courses are being offered under AMU's 13 faculties, including Agricultural Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Engineering & Technology and Law, among others. During AMUEEE registration, candidates will have to pay the fee through net banking/credit card/debit card. The AMUEEE application fee is INR 1050. Offline payments will not be accepted. The late fee is INR 1350.
