GATE Scorecard 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, will issue the GATE 2026 scorecard on March 27. Candidates who have qualified the GATE exam 2026 will be eligible to download result scorecard. The scorecard of GATE is valid for three years and can be used for MTech admissions, PSU recruitment, etc. Read below to know more.

GATE Scorecard 2026: Candidates who have qualified GATE 2026 can download their scorecard from March 27 onwards. The GATE scorecard will be available online at the GOAPS portal. The official website to download GATE scorecard 2026 is gate2026.iitg.ac.in, and the credentials required are enrollment ID and password. 

First, the IIT Guwahati will declare GATE result 2026 on March 19. Candidates who attempted GATE on Feb 7, 8, 14, and 15 can also refer to the GATE cutoff marks of previous year's to analyse their performance and admission chances to IITs, NITs and GFTIs. How to Download GATE 2026 Scorecard?

Candidates can download their GATE MTech scorecard 2026 at the GOAPS portal. The process to download the scorecard of GATE exam can be checked below -

GATE Scorecard 2026 Release Date

The IIT Guwahati GATE 2026 scorecard will be made available for free download from March 27 to May 31, 2026. Later, from June 1 from December 31, 2026, the result scorecard will be made be available for download by paying a fee of INR 500. The result scorecard of GATE 2026 can be downloaded at the GOAPS portal only.

• Postgraduate admission (MTech and PhD) - Candidates can use their GATE 2026 scorecard to apply for MTech, ME, and PhD admissions at IITs, IIITs, NITs, and IISc Bangalore. 
• Study abroad - Candidates can also apply for foreign universities, such as National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), etc. 
• PSU Recruitment - Candidates with valid GATE scorecard 2026, can also apply for Public Sector Undertakings like ONGC, GAIL, AAI, IOCL, NTPC, etc. 
• In addition, with the help of GATE scorecard 2026, candidates can also use it for the research positions at BARC and DRDO. 

How to use the GATE Scorecard for MTech Admission?

Candidates can use the scorecard for MTech and PhD admission at the time of GATE counselling. Now, the GATE counselling will be conducted by two portals - CCMT and COAP. 

• CCMT (Centralised Counselling for MTech/MArch/MPlan): is used for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates have to enter their scorecard at the time of CCMT registration to participate in the counselling. 
• COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal): It is used for admission to IITs and IISc. Candidates can use their GATE scorecard at the time of CCMT registration 2026.

How to use the GATE Scorecard for PSU Recruitment?

Candidates can use their GATE result scorecard for PSU recruitment. Candidates must note that not all PSUs accept old GATE scores. Therefore, it is advised to check the official notification of the respective PSU carefully before applying. Here’s how one can use GATE 2026 scorecard for PSU recruitment -

• Download scorecard from GOAPS portal using enrollment ID and password
• Watch for PSU job notifications. The dates can vary from organsiation to organisation. 
• Now, visit the respective PSU official websites to apply
• Enter GATE score and rank details
• Based on the obtained score and rank, candidates will be called out for interview or further selection process. A higher GATE score will have good chances of getting shortlisted for interview. 

Some of the top PSUs that accept GATE scores include AAI, NTPC, Power Grid recruitment through GATE, BHEL, etc.

How long is GATE scorecard valid for PSU?

As mentioned above, the validity of GATE scorecard is valid is different for all PSUs. For leading PSUs, the GATE scores is mainly valid for one year only. This means that students who qualifies GATE 2026 will be eligible for PSU recruitment in the current year.

Candidates with more than two valid GATE Scorecards

If any applicant has more than two valid GATE scorecards, then he/she must provide the scorecard details of the one with the higher score and rank. Candidates must check the instructions and guidelines properly before entering their details at the time of admission.

Is Scorecard required to avail GATE Scholarship?

Yes, scorecard is required to avail GATE scholarship. At the time of registration, candidates have to provide their valid scorecard details. Qualified candidates get a monthly stipend of INR 12,400. The stipend amount will be credited directly to candidate's bank account provided at the time of registration.
