NIT Rourkela JEE Main cutoff 2025 for BTech and BArch courses was released. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for different categories under the AI and HS quota. For the General category, the last round closing ranks ranged from 4245 to 85536, with Computer Science and Engineering the most competitive specialisations for admission. Considering the last round cutoff of 2025, the top three most competitive B.Tech. branches for admission were Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Electronics and Communication Engineering. For CSE admission, the JEE Main first and last round closing ranks were 3122 and 4245, respectively. For AI and ECE, the last round closing ranks stood at 5503 and 6689, respectively.

Considering the ranks, the most and least competitive B.Tech. branches were Computer Science & Engineering and B.Tech. in Ceramic Engineering + M.Tech. in Industrial Ceramic Engineering. NIT Rourkela OBC category cutoff 2025 for other B.Tech. specialisations, such as B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Electronics and Communication Engineering, were 8268 and 10298, respectively.

NIT Rourkela Cutoff 2025 for SC AI Category

Compared to the General and OBC categories, the JEE Main cutoff ranks were less competitive for admission to BTech specialisations, including CSE and Electronics and Communication Engineering, etc. For the students belonging to the SC category under the AI quota, the JEE Main last round closing rank for CSE was 26996, while for ECE, the cutoff rank stood at 41037. In the first round, the cutoff rank stood at 407 for CSE and 921 for ECE.

There is a huge difference between the first and the last round cutoff ranks. For NITs, a total of nine rounds were released for BTech and other UG programmes based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam. Till the sixth rounds, the counselling and seat allotments were managed by JoSAA, while for the additional three rounds, CSAB conducted the counselling to fill the vacant seats. The closing rank for general category in M.Sc Chemistry was around 787.

You rank is actually very close to the cutoff.

You may receive a seat in 2nd round or 3rd round as it might change across the rounds when seats freed.
