Calcutta University BSc courses are offered through the campus and the affiliated colleges. The university offers BSc (Hons) and general courses for the duration of three years, divided into six semesters, and offered in full-time mode. - Candidates must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream and must have secured an aggregate of 45% (for general courses) to 50% (honours courses). Moreover, Candidates from reserved categories (Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe) must have a minimum of 40% aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the Class 12 examination to be eligible for an Honours course.
- Aggregate marks for admissions to BSc at Calcutta University are calculated according to the top four subjects.
- No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 5 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
The selection process of the Calcutta University BSc programme, either on the merit of an applicant or the Calcutta University Entrance Exam.
