Chitkara University BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Chitkara University offers 11 full-time BTech programmes in the stream of Business and Management Studies, Engineering and IT & Software. It is a UG-level course and the selection criteria is the JEE Main entrance score. The eligibility criteria for the course is Class 12 with 60% aggregate. The duration of Chitkara University BTech is four years and the lateral entry duration is three years. A total of ten BTech courses are offered by CIET and four BTech Lateral Entry courses are offered by CCAE. The university offers a four-year BE in Computer Engineering at Chitkara University in India with an Academic Mentorship from Deakin University. Students can enrol in BE in Software Engineering at Chitkara University and have the option to transfer after two years of study in India to Deakin University, Australia and graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) from Deakin in Australia, after four years (2+2) of total study. And secondly, candidates are required to appear in national-lavel entrance examination, for example JEE Main (mandatory for 2023 batch).
Chitkara University BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
The Chitkara University BTech application process is conducted in online mode. Candidate admissions are decided on entrance basis. Candidates who are interested in the BTech programme must apply for the JEE Main entrance exam. Check the application process below:
STEP 1: Registration for the JEE Mains Entrance Exam
Candidates appearing for the JEE Mains entrance examination must visit the official portal of the exam (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/). Here, the candidates must find the announcement circular for the current JEE Mains session and follow the instructions provided within. Once the candidate has registered themselves, they will be informed of the JEE Mains exam date, time and venue on the appropriate date.
STEP 2: Chitkara University BTech Admissions
Once the candidates have cleared the JEE Mains entrance exam, they are required to visit the Chitkara University's official website and fill the application form for BTech admissions. Candidates will be required to fill in their personal as well as qualifying details in the admission form. Once completed, candidates will need to attach the following documents to the admission form:
- Certificates along with mark sheets of both Class 10 & 12
- Proof of both ID and address
- Passport-size photographs
- Character certificate
- Migration certificate
- Domicile certificate
- Attested copies of birth certificate and last qualifying examination
- Attested copies of any other necessary document required (SC/ ST/ OBC certificate etc.)
To submit the completed application form, candidates are required to pay the Chitkara University BTech application fee for the BTech courses.
STEP 3: Confirmation of Admissions

The JEE Main Application Form 2026 session 2 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted from January 21 to 30.
