Yes. The Non-GATE entrants can take admission with a valid Department Admission Test (DAT) score or ‘A and B’ exams score conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India). Candidates can apply for the DAT exam by visiting the CUSAT website.

Aspirants need to fill out the online form (admission.cusat.ac.in) and submit it for being eligible to take admission. However, the seat allotment for each M.Tech programme shall be on the applicant’s GATE score. Candidates without a GATE exam score can take CUSAT DAT/ Sections A and B exam by the Institution of Engineers (India).

CUSAT offers M.Tech in full-time and part-time modes. The full-time course is of two-year duration with four semesters and the M.Tech part-time course is of three years with six semesters. The syllabus of CUSAT CAT includes chapters and topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics that are relevant from the examination point of view. CUSAT CAT syllabus is of Class 11 and Class 12 standard. 

Candidates need to qualify CUSAT CAT to get admission to Integrated BSc-MSc programmes. The university releases course-wise cutoff rank list. As per the below 2023 closing rank for All India Category, the highest was 29 for Biological Science. The lowest rank was of 62 of Physical and Mathematics.
