Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027
Offered by Bhagini Nivedita College, University of Delhi
3.6
Honest review of Bhagini Nivedita College.
Placements: The highest package offered is 12 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA. Placements are given from the second year of college. Around 40-50% of students get placed. In the last year, companies like Amazon, Boast, and Raymond visited the college for placements. No college placements are available for students. Internships are provided through the DU vice chancellor every year in July for students. They can also apply for internships on LinkedIn or any other platform. There are no attendance issues in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is not so good, but the construction of the new building is going on. Basic amenities like an air-conditioned library, open gym, Wi-Fi, pad machines, auditorium, water coolers, girls' common room, labs, conference rooms, etc., are available. The library is big and spacious. It has each book from college books to novels. Classrooms are big and spacious, and new pink benches are set up in each classroom. The hostel facility is not provided by the college. Plenty of PGs and flats are available in this area. The highest rent can go up to Rs. 9,000, depending on facilities, and flats with owners can be as low as Rs. 3,500.
Faculty: Faculty members here are the best. Teachers are highly qualified. They are easily approachable and encourage us to ask our doubts after every lecture. They are also very supportive. Semester exams conducted by the University of Delhi have an average level of questions. Studying 10 days before exams can help us score well in our exams. Students should just go through 5 years of PYQs, and they are good to go.
Other: I chose B.Com because I wanted to pursue CA, and I think it was a good decision. The campus life is good. The college crowd is good, and students from all around India come to this college, which keeps us more motivated. It is a good place for extracurricular activities. There are many clubs/societies like fashion societies, rangmanch, women empowerment clubs, dance clubs, etc. There are fests annually where students from every DU college can come and enjoy the college fest with music, food stalls, and so many performances.

It is a good college of DU for the applied science course. All teachers are well-qualified.
Placements: 40% of students get placed. The highest package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA. The lowest package offered ranges from 2-3 LPA. Infrastructure: Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences has smart classrooms, a Physics lab, a library, Wi-Fi, seminar halls, and sports facilities. There is no hostel. Students use nearby PGs and flats in Dwarka with metro connectivity. In my college, there is a good canteen.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are of a moderate level. The pass percentage is 90%. All students are very laborious and industrious. All students get good marks.

3.6
It offers decent and helpful faculty members with solid academics. I have a great experience.
Placements: Around 70% of students from the B.Com program secure placements. The salary packages offered are decent here. The highest package offered ranges from 8-10 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. The lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA. Many students got jobs in companies like TCS, Wipro, and ICICI Bank. Delhi University also provides internships, in which our college batchmates secured internships. Many roles offered are sales manager, tax accountant, or trainee manager.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent. It has spacious classrooms. The library is well-stocked with books on all courses and subjects. We have functional labs such as Physics lab, Chemistry lab, and Biology lab. The college has also provided water coolers. There is a campus Wi-Fi too. The hostel is not provided by the college, so we don't have a mess.
Faculty: Faculty members in this college are supportive and well-qualified. Many of them hold advanced degrees. They have good teaching experience. The teaching quality is quite solid. Most of them are approachable if we need any help regarding the lecture. The course curriculum is well-structured and aligns closely with the current requirements of the commerce field. Semester exams are quite moderate. It is not impossible to crack if we stay consistent with our studies.

ZHDCE: Decent college with a good vibe.
Placements: Unfortunately being in a college that has its focus on arts and science, it does not cater to companies so focus on developing skills for external placement or go for government jobs. Although you can apply for internships which would be beneficial in your career ahead.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent. The new building is about to open so it will be a major boost to the current infrastructure. In its current state the infrastructure is very old like in our classroom. AC is fitted but it does not give cool air so we have to work with fans only.
Faculty: Professors are very kind and intelligent which is very helpful. Talking about the course, it's easy to understand and exams are centrally conducted by DU, so it's easy to find previous year papers and hence you can prepare accordingly. I would like to mention that self-study is the key to better exam performance.
Other: Fests are decent if you have interest you can join NCC or another society which can be beneficial. The crowd is also very diverse giving a holistic environment.

Amazing college with great infrastructure and teachers but above-average placements.
Placements: More than 50% of students get placed. The highest package offered so far is 35 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is around 8–9 LPA. Top recruiters include the Big 4 firms, Meesho, and MBB consulting companies. Barely 7–10% of students from the course get internships, mainly in Big 4 and MBB companies. The top roles offered are related to consulting and finance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good and has been updated with new Wi-Fi this year. Classrooms are always clean. The library has AC, and new washrooms have also been built. Hostel facilities are worth the money. The food available in the mess is better than what is offered in PGs.
Faculty: Teachers at SR are very knowledgeable and qualified. They know textbooks. The course curriculum is somewhat irrelevant because of SEC, VAC, and AEC classes, which seem unnecessary. However, the core subjects help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are manageable, neither too easy nor too difficult.

Faculty members are rude sometimes.
Placements: 10% or a few students get placed in the B.Com course. The highest package offered is 3.5 LPA. The lowest package offered is 2 LPA. Zomato is the top recruiting company, as far as I know, for my course. Otherwise, there are other companies as well, like Bank of America, etc., but I haven't seen any such company for my course. 30% of students get internships in random companies. Data entry roles are offered here.
Infrastructure: The department building and infrastructure are nice. Wi-Fi never works. Classrooms are okay, but there is no AC, so people consider labs because there is AC. The library is good. We don't have hostels. The canteen, medical, sports, and games facilities are nice.
Faculty: Teachers are really nice here. The course curriculum is not relevant, but it is okay for those who just want a graduation degree. Semester exams are easy. I have never seen someone getting an ER in exams if they attempt it. I don't think there is any total pass percentage kind of thing, as it depends on the subject. There is a passing mark criterion.

It has a good attendance policy, infrastructure, faculty, and courses. Dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: In this course, not many students get placements. They go to pursue master's from IITs or clear government exams. There are some placements. The average package offered is 4 LPA, but that is based on skills and not because of the course itself. The internship cell is quite active. We have many opportunities for summer internships. We can also work for DU this season, and it is exclusively for us. The pay is decent, roughly Rs. 12,000 per month, for 2 months of the admission period
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are amazing. Classrooms are very big. The only drawback is that they don't have AC. The new building was built recently, which is quite nice. It has a 6-storey building with lifts and Wi-Fi. There are washrooms on each floor. The college library is quite big, but we also have access to the DU central library, so it is a quite good college. The library is huge with AC and Wi-Fi. Labs are okay with good faculty. There are no hostels. They are available from this year as they are under renovation.
Faculty: This college is a heaven of DU. It has a relaxed attendance policy. Teachers are helpful and highly qualified. They have several research papers. Almost all professors are PhD holders and not even that old. Their teaching style is amazing. The new course curriculum for honors course is quite relevant for going into the research field and higher studies. The course curriculum is relevant and a little heavier than the old one. It makes one research-ready, and they can directly go for a PhD by passing the BSc course.

I would rate 9/10 for faculty, 8/10 for hostel, and 8/10 for infrastructure.
Placements: The placement cell of my college is not very good. We don't get many choices for placements or internships. B.Com (Hons) students get the opportunity to get placed, but not students in other courses. For internships or placements, we need to put in the effort.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is not great. From the library to the hostel, everything here is well-maintained, neat, and clean. The canteen needs a bit of improvement. However, it's affordable and nice. The medical room is convenient for students.
Faculty: Daulat Ram College offers so many courses. Professors are very supportive of students. They prioritise studies over other things, which is a plus point. The course curriculum is updated on portals every year. It's based on the new curriculum, which is beneficial for students. Staff members are nice.
Other: In terms of studies, we can prioritise this college. Extracurricular activities still need so much improvement in sports and further inter-college opportunities. I would rate 6 out of 10 for extracurricular activities.
