IPU BA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IP University BA course is offered across different specialisations. The duration of the BA programmes is three years, while BA (Hons) courses are of four years. Some of the specialisations in which the course is available are Journalism and Mass Communication, Economics, English, etc.
IPU BA and BA (Hons) admission is done based on merit in IPU CET/CUET. Apart from this, it is also crucial that the aspirants meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. Aspirants can check below the IPU BA/BA (H) eligibility requirements:

Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. IPU CET exam 2026 application forms for other courses, open tentatively in March every year. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's annual hostel cost is INR 29,500. Mess and welfare fees are not included in the hostel fees. The fee for the mess is INR 36,000, while the cost of the welfare is INR 3,000. Candidates need to submit three demand drafts: one for hostel fees, one for mess charges, and one for welfare charges. Two hostels are maintained on campus for male students, and two are maintained for female students. There are more than 180 single-seat rooms in each hostel. Basic furnishings such as a cot, mattress, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, tube lamp, and fan are provided in each room. Mess facilities are available for residents in each hostel. IPU BA Admission 2025: How to Apply?
IP University BA application process is conducted in online mode. The candidates selection for the BA course is entrance-based. IP University admission process is a multi-step procedure involving registration for the accepted exam, release of the cutoff list, counselling, and seat allotment. The steps mentioned below show the entire process for IPU BA course admission:
STEP 1: IP University BA Application Process 2025
The university accepts applications via online mode. The steps to be followed for the IPU BA application process are:
1.1: Go to the official website of IPU (www.ipu.ac.in).
1.2: Select the desired BA course.
1.3: Fill out the application form.
1.4: Attach all necessary documents.
1.5: Pay the IP University application form.
STEP 2: Selection Process
Applications are then shortlisted based on IPU CET/CUET scores. The university publishes a cutoff/merit list to declare the names of the selected students. During admissions, seats are filled through CUET after seats are left vacant for admission based on merit in IPU CET.
STEP 3: Confirmation of Admissions
Candidates who meet the course cutoff can then take part in counselling. In this round, documents are verified and the admission fee has to be paid. IPU BA fees range between INR 2 lakh and INR 5.1 lakh.

- PhD admissions for winter session is open. The university will conduct the entrance test on Dec 22, 2025.

The expected GGSIPU MBBS cutoff 2024 offered through Vardhman Mahavir Medical College is must range between 107 and 129. A notification regarding the counselling process through CUET is released when vacant seats are left after all rounds of counselling. Based on details mentioned in the IPU brochure, the IPU CUET counselling procedure could be in the following manner:
STEP 1: Counselling Registeration
Candidates have to register (could be online/offline) for counselling. Details such as the aspirant name, programme code and other details have to be provided during registration. The registration fee is INR 1,500.
STEP 2: Login & Enrol
Login with the ID and password generated during registration to fill out the application. The IPU counselling processing fee is INR 1,000, which has to be paid during the enrolment for participation in the counselling procedure after registration. Fill in the details as asked and take a printout of the form and fee receipt. Document verification is carried out in online mode based on information provided by the candidate during enrolment.
STEP 3: Choice Filling/Preference Sheet
The preference sheet is available on the GGSIPU brochure. For online mode, candidates will have to visit the university's official website. It must be noted that the preference sheet is valid for only one counselling round. Hence, for each round, a new preference sheet must be filled out for each counselling round.
STEP 4: Seat Allocation
After choice filling, seats are allotted to the candidates based on merit, respective category and region. Candidates can be asked to freeze the seat by paying a sum of fee.
GGSIPU has given weightage to both theory and practical UG and PG courses. Students need to secure a minimum of 75% in semester theory exam for UG courses and 60% for PG programmes. For practical, students need to secure a minimum of 60%. A student must pass both theory and practical examination to pass the semester. Students who fail the internal exam are required to re-appear in the previous semester examination to obtain sufficient credits to be promoted to the next academic year.

To get IPU (main campus- USLLS and VIPS) you need to have a total score of atleast 470 out of 650. And admission in IPU through cuet happens only after the CLAT rounds are over, so you must wait till the spot rounds.
